حاولنا في هذا الجهد المتواضع توضيح موقف الهيئات الممثلة للأهالي والرأي العام في برقة حيال قرار هيأة الأمم المتحدة رقم (181) في 29 (نوفمبر) 1947، القاضي بتقسيم فلسطين إلى منطقتين عربية ويهودية، والملابسات التي بلورت صدوره دوليا ومحليا، من خلال بعض الوثائق التي نشرها مشكورا الأخ الفاضل/ سالم الكبتي، في سلسلة كتب وثائقية هي: (ليبيا مسيرة الاستقلال وثائق محلية ودولية، ج1) و(إدريس السنوسي الأمير والملك، وثائق عن دوره السياسي والوطني، ج2)، التي ظلت حبيسة أرشيفه فترة من الزمن، فضلا عن بعض الأطر المرجعية الأخرى ذات العلاقة بموضوع البحث. وبطبيعة الحال قسم البحث إلى: مقدمة، وأربعة مباحث، وخاتمة، حاولنا من خلال المبحث الأول إعطاء لمحة تاريخية عن ملابسات مناقشة قرار تقسيم فلسطين في هيأة الأمم سنة 1947، والظروف الدولية والمحلية التي بلورة صدوره، وسخرنا المبحث الثاني لتوضيح بعض مواقف الممثلين العرب في الأمم المتحدة، وعملنا في المبحث الثالث على إيضاح ردود فعل رؤساء الحكومات العربية والأوساط الشعبية، واجتهدنا في المبحث الرابع في تلمس موقف الهيئات الممثلة للأهالي والرأي العام في برقة حيال قرار التقسيم. وتبين من خلال البحث بأن موقف جل من في برقة من هيئات أهلية ورأي عام حيال قرار التقسيم كان رائعا سواء بالمظاهرات والاحتجاجات، لا سيما جمعية عمر المختار التي كان موقفها جليا تجاه هذا القرار الجائر، عبر مركزها العام في بنغازي ودرنة، ولسان حالها صحيفة (الوطن) التي دونت عناوين مقالاتها باللون الأسود حزنا وحسرة على تقسيم فلسطين، فضلا عن محاولات بعض رجالات الجمعية تشكيل مكاتب ولجان للمتطوعين والمتبرعين للدفاع عن أولى القبلتين وثالث الحرمين الشريفين.
In this research, and with much humble effort, the researcher attempted to clarify the reaction of the representatives of families and the public opinion in Cyrenaica towards the decision of the united nations no. (181) issued on the 29th of November 1947, which holds the partition of Palestine into two regions, an Arab and a Jewish region, as well as the circumstances under which they were issued locally and internationally, through some documents which were thankfully published by Mr Salim Alkabti ,in a series of documented books namely: (Libya's path of independency, local and international documents) as well as (the prince and king Idrees Alsonousi ,documents on his national and political role), in which have been confined in an archive for a period of time, in addition to some other references that are in relation to the topic of the conducted research . This research has been sectioned into: An introduction, the body which is sectioned into four chapters, as well as the conclusion. In the first chapter, the researcher attempted to shed some light on the history of differences discussed in the decision of the united nation's organization in the partition of Palestine in 1947, as well as the national and local circumstances under which they were issued. As for the second chapter, the researcher focused on clarifying the reaction of some of the Arab representatives at the united nations ,whereas ,in the third chapter the researcher worked on clarifying the reactions of the arab government and national circles, in the forth chapter the researcher worked hard on trying to reach how the family representatives and the public view reacted to this partition. This research has come to conclude that all of the Cyrenaica's representatives as well as the public opinion all had a great response towards the partition, in which was shown by both riots and protests, particularly Omar Mukhtar Association, which had a prominent outcome towards this unjust decision , through its public centres in Benghazi and Derna, as well as through its newspaper) alwatan (which used the colour black to print its article's topics in mourning of the Palestinian partition.in addition to the attempts of the association members to form general offices and committees of volunteers and donors to defend the first Qiblah and the third holiest mosque.
