المستخلص: The talk about Carthaginian-Greek relations in the antiquity and classical periods every history student or researcher is made to pause by the most important event of that stage, and that was the Battle of Himera 480 BC. This battle acquired its historical significance due to it being a pivotal event in the history of relations between Carthage and the Greeks of Sicily during the classical period. Many old written works and modern studies have considered it to represent one of the most prominent stages of tension and conflict between the two sides. It represents an image from among the images of civilizational conflict between the Carthaginians and the Greeks, in addition to its historical value in terms of results and ramifications. However, recent studies of Carthaginian-Greek relations, supported by archaeological research, have allowed us to examine the fact that these relations in the ancient period did not experience any kind of tension, and that the battle was only a stage in the Carthaginian conflict with the Greeks of Sicily for the sake of the preservation of interests. Consequently, there was no civilizational struggle or conflict between the Carthaginians and the Greeks.

إنّ الحديث عن العلاقات القرطاجية الإغريقية في الفترة العتيقة والفترة الكلاسيكية يجعل كل دارس أو باحث في التاريخ يستوقفه أهم حدث في تلك المرحلة وهو معركة هيميرا 480 ق م. إكتسبت هذه المعركة أهميتها التاريخية لكونها حدثا مفصليا في تاريخ العلاقات بين قرطاجة وإغريق صقلية في الفترة الكلاسيكية،واعتبرتها كثير من الروايات القديمة والدراسات الحديثة من أبرز مراحل التوتر والصراع بين الطرفين، وعلى أنها صورة من صور الصراع الحضاري بين القرطاجيين والإغريق، إضافة إلى قيمتها التاريخية من حيث النتائج والإنعكاسات. لكن الدراسات الحديثة للعلاقات القرطاجية الإغريقية والمدعمة بالأبحاث الأثرية سمحت لنا الوقوف على حقيقة أنّ هذه العلاقات في الفترة العتيقة لم تشهد أي نوع من التوتر، وأنّ المعركة لم تكن سوى مرحلة من مراحل النزاع القرطاجي مع اغريق صقلية من أجل الحفاظ على المصالح. ومنه لا وجود لصراع حضاري بين القرطاجيين والإغريق.

Parler des relations entre les les Grecs et des Carthaginois dans la période Archaïque et classique rend chaque étudiant ou chercheur dans l'histoire marquer une événement le plus important dans cette période ‘Himera 480 av’. Cette bataille a gagné une importance historique pour être un événement charnière dans l'histoire des relations entre Carthage et les Grecs de Sicile à l'époque classique، et considéré comme beaucoup d'histoires anciennes et des études modernes des étapes les plus importantes de tension et de conflit entre les deux parties، et comme une forme de conflit culturel entre les Carthaginois et les Grecs، en plus de la valeur historique de en termes de résultats et des conséquences . Mais des études récentes sur les relations grecs et carthaginois pris en charge la recherche archéologique nous a permis de se tenir sur le fait que ces relations dans la période antique n'a pas été témoin tout type de tension، Et que la bataille était seule étape du conflit carthaginoise avec les Grecs de Sicile، afin de maintenir l'intérêt، Et de là il n'existe pas de conflit civilisationnel entre les Carthaginois et les Grecs.
