المستخلص: تواجه الأمة الإسلامية في هذا العصر كثيراً من الأخطار والتحديات السريعة والمتلاحقة والشاملة لكل أنشــطة الحياة، وإزاء هذه المتغيرات، يحرص المهتمون والمصلحون على غرس ونشر الوســطية وقيمها وأهدافهــا في شرائح المجتمع المختلفة، وتــأتي الجامعة في مقدمة تلك الجهات ممثلة في الأستاذ الجامعي. وهذه الدراسة تتناول مسؤولية الأستاذ الجامعي في تعزيز منهج الوسطية لدى الطلاب الجامعيين - جامعة المجمعة نموذجاً - وهدفت إلى بيان مفهوم منهج الوســطية في الإسلام، والتعرف على سماته وخصائصه، والتعرف على ســمات وخصائص الأستاذ الجامعي، ومسؤوليته في تعزيز منهج الوسطية لدى الطلاب الجامعيين من خلال وجهة نظر أساتذة أقسام وكليات جامعة المجمعة. وقد اســتخدم الباحث في الدراســة النظرية المنهج الوصفي (الوثائقي)، وفي الدراسة الميدانية المنهج الوصفي المسحي، وتكّون مجتمع الدراسة من الأساتذة بجامعة المجمعة خلال الفصل الدراسي الأول من العام الجامعي 1434هـ/1435هـ البالغ عددهم (373) من حملة الدكتوراه، و (93) أستاذاً جامعيًّا ويمثلون (25%) من مجتمع الدراسة. وكان من أبرز النتائج التي توصلت إليها الدراسة: الوسطية تعني: الاعتدال في الاعتقاد والسلوك والموقف والمعاملة والتربية والأخلاق، كما جاء بها الإسلام، وأبرز سمات وخصائص الأستاذ الجامعي مجموعة من السلوكيات التي تمثّل منظومة القيم الأخلاقية والتمسك بها. كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة الميدانية فيما يتعلق بمسؤولية الأستاذ الجامعي في تعزيز منهج الوسطية لدى الطلاب الجامعيين: أن يؤمن الأســتاذ بالوسطية والاعتدال قولاً وعملاً، ويتسم سلوكه بالرفق والســماحة مع طلابه، ويبين لطلابه خطر وسائل التقنية الحديثة، وما فيها من محتوى يخالف الوسطية، ويُكرس مفهوم الوسطية من خلال محاضراته، ويستثمر المناسبات الوطنية ليبين لطلابه منهج الوسطية والاعتدال الذي قامت عليه البلاد. بالإضافة إلى بعض التوصيات التي قدمها الباحث.

In this era, the Islamic Ummah is facing a lot of risks and rapid challenges in all walks of life. In the wake of such changes, reformers are keen to disseminate values and objectives of moderation within various strata of society. University is on top of such competent bodies. This job is represented by a university professor. This study discusses responsibility of the professor in promoting the moderation approach among Majmaah University students. Pursuant to this subject, this study aims to identify the following ــــ the concept of moderation approach in Islam; identification of the attributes and characteristics of moderation in Islam; and identification of the attributes and characteristics of the professor and his responsibility in promoting the moderation approach among Majmaah university students from the viewpoints of professors associated with various Departments and Colleges of the Majmaah University. The researcher has employed the descriptive (documentary)approach in the theoretical part and the descriptive survey method in the field study. The research population consisted of professors of the Majmaah University during the first semester of the academic year 1435/1434A.H. They were (373) Ph.D holders, and (93) University professors representing %25 of the of the study population. Most important findings of the study are as follow: Moderation means moderation in belief, behavior, attitude, treatment, education and ethics as enshrined by Islam. The most significant attributes and characteristics of the university professors are the behaviors represented in a system of ethical values and abiding by them. Findings of the field study regarding the professors responsibility in promoting the moderation approach among the university students have shown that the University professor should be characterized by moderation in word and deed; forbearance and tolerance with students; informing the students of the risks of modern technology; explaining the concept of moderation in their lectures; exploiting the national events to explain to their students the moderation approach and the straightness which characterizes the country. This is in addition to some recommendations offered by the researcher
