يسعى الكثير من دول العالم سواء ما يطلق علية بالمتقدم أو غيرهم بالاهتمام بالطفل والسعي لتنمية قدراته ومهاراته وكذلك قيمه واتجاهاته، وکي نواكب ذلك التقدم السريع في المجالات العلمية المتعددة، كان علينا التفكير في طرق وأساليب جديدة (ولا نقصد بالجديدة أنها غير معروفة تماماً أو غير مستخدمة بالفعل) ولكن قد تكون الجديد فيها استخدامها في مجال الخزف) كعملية تدريس وتنمية مهارات الطفل تلك الأساليب التي تناسب ميول واتجاهات الطفل تلك الميول التي إن روعيت بشكل مميز أثمرت وأعطت نتائج مميزة في تعديل السلوك وكذلك في تنمية المهارات واكتساب القيم والاتجاهات. \\ والقصة باعتبارها أسلوب شيق يجذب الكل لاسيما الطفل الذي يعد من أكثر بمراحل عمرية المختلفة ويتأثر بها، ولما كانت المهارات الفنية في مجالات التربية الفنية بشكل عام والخزف بشكل خاص مهارات تحتاج إلى بعض التركيز والجهد فكانت القصة وسيلة لتوصيل تلك المهارات بشكل شيق ومثير لطفل المدرسة الابتدائية وقد وضعت الباحثة تصوراً لبعض القصص التي تطبق من خلالها إكساب بعض مهارات الخزف بالإضافة إلى تعديل السلوك السلبي وتنمية السلوك الايجابي لدى أطفال تلك المرحلة. \\ وبعد إجراء تطبيقات على أطفال بمدرسة الجمهورية التابعة لإدارة الزرقا التعليمية محافظه دمياط. \\ وضعت الباحثة معيار لقياس مدى اكتساب المهارات الخزفية بالإضافة إلى تعديل السلوك القيمي وتنميته واشتمل المعيار على بنود تقيس مهارات الخزف التي طبقت أثناء تدريس القصة مقارنة بنفس العينة بعد تدريس مهارات الخزف بدون استخدام القصية (عن طريق الشرح)، ولم يغفل المعيار قياس السلوك القيمي لدى أطفال المرحلة فاشتمل على عدة بنود تقيس هذا السلوك وبعد تحويل البيانات إلى درجات خام يمكن إجراء بعض الأساليب الإحصائية. \\ وأثبتت الدراسة والتطبيق مدى ايجابية أسلوب القصة كأحد الأساليب التدريسية في تنمية بعض مهارات الخزف (الحز والكشط) وكذلك تنمية السلوك الايجابي لدى الأطفال مثل (الصدق - التريس - عدم الاندفاع) وتعديل السلوك السلبي مثل (الانطواء - الكذب - الاندفاع)
