Population issue is the most important contemporary issues that affect the achievement of comprehensive and sustainable development despite efforts to achieve, and so the state give a great attention to studies and research concerning population and development for the provision of data and indicators that contribute to the decision-making and the development plans, policies and development programs on a scientific basis. The future population projections based on accurate scientific and technical methods is one of the main pillars upon which planners depend where they can use for action plans and preparing plans and programs for social and economic development in order to improve the standard of living and prosperity for all members in the society. Population projections based on the results of population census on one hand, and on studying levels of mortality, fertility and immigration prevailing in prior periods for these censuses, and future and targeted trends for these components from reality of this study different assumptions of population growth are put, and then estimating the future number and characteristics of the population for all planners and experts and scholars in this field. Hence this study shed light on estimating labor force and education requirements during the period (2014-2031) to predict the impact of the continuous increase in population size on these two sectors. |
