المستخلص: تكمن أهمية دراسة لواء الحديدة في العهد العثماني الأخير في أن تعطينا صورة واضحة إلى مدى تمتع هذا اللواء بتنوع القومي والديني والسياسة العثمانية اتجاهها، فضلا عن الأهمية الاقتصادية والاستراتيجية، إذ ضم اللواء موانئ عدة لعبت دورا مهما في تنمية الجانب الاقتصادي حيث أن أموال الضرائب تلك التي انعكست أهميتها الإيجابية على سياسة الدولة العثماني اتجاه اللواء بدليل المشاريع الصحية والخدمية التعليمية المميزة.

This research deals with the study of (Hodeidah Liwa in last ottoman age 1872 - 1918) .Although the vilayet of Yemen, and political conditions .in particular .was of interest to researchers and historians .as it covered part of their academic studies .especially in the era of federal .however, there was a missing link in the study of some of the brigades that were parts of the state and private Brigade Hodeidah administrative conditions After the economic and social restructuring of the state of Yemen in 1872. So came this research to shed light on that era of history Brigade of what witnessed many changes in the administrative, social and economic sphere has not been given due attention by the researchers.
And the beginning of the study was to determine the year 1872 .the year in which they are form in gabrigade of Hodeidah as part of the vilayet of Yemen. The choice of 1918 to be the year that then stop the study. See the British troops to the occupation of the brigade marking the end of Ottoman rule him. Find addressed the study shed administrative divisions of the brigade Hodeidah and follow its development as well as educational fields and postal services, health and ports .depending on the Ottoman sources, particularly the Ottoman archives and documents of the Ottoman and yearbooks.
