|a ويهدف عنوان هذه الورقة إلى ما أطلق عليه فرانز فانون بجدارة "مطبات" دولة في كتابه المبدع المعذبون في الأرض (١٩٦٣). وهنا سأتطرق بإيجاز لمناقشة سبع نقاط رئيسية لتوضيح روابط التلاقي من فانون إلى إيرل لافليس في تداخل فرضية ثنائه الكفاح أو الهروب من خلال الورقة البحثية لترسيخ كيفية بناء رواية الملح (١٩٩٦) للافليس على إحياء الذاكرة لتجسيد ملامح الوطنية. لقد استندت في مناقشتي لهذه الرواية الإبداعية للافليس على أهمية إبراز مدى الفضل الذي يدين به لافليس لفانون ليظل نقطة تساؤل في النقد الأدبي للمجتمع في منطقة البحر الكاريبي. وبوضوح، فإن موقفي كباحث هو تتبع النقد الثائر لرؤيتي فانون ولافليس لعرض أوجه القصور للامة وانعكاس ذلك في محيط ترينيداد. وقد تم عرض تدرج لثلاثية العلاقة النقدية عن الطبيعة، الفعل ثم الوحدة. ونأتي عندئذ لترجمة مقالة "الخدمة الوطنية الإلزامية"، البروفيسور مارك سيمونز للعربية كبعد ملح لإعادة رسم خريطة الوطن من منظور التسعينات المعاصر لرواية لافليس بتسليط الضوء على سياسة إدارة بيل كلنتون الناجحة لوضع تصور للخروج من الأزمة. وهكذا، تطور المقالة مناقشة العلاقة الثلاثية النقدية لتضمين مفهوم "التنمية" وذلك لتحقيق التقدم للأمة.

|b The title of this paper aims to purport to what Franz Fanon so aptly named the “pitfalls” of nation in the influential book The Wretched of the Earth (1963). I will attempt to discuss seven key points to foreground the intertwined linkage from Fanon to Earl Lovelace in view of the overlap of fight or flight throughout the paper to elucidate how the latter’s national novel Salt (1996) is, in a sense, reconstructing memory. I have invoked my position in this creative novel of Lovelace so as to accentuate how much Lovelace credits Fanon remains a point of question in the most recent critique of the imagined community of the Caribbean. In essentials, my position is not only to keep track of how both, in a retrospective and prospective manner, in the prism of the relation from nature to action to unity, are rebelling against the shortcomings of Trinidad. But also, it is to provide an Arabic translation of "The Compulsory National Service" (The Longman Writer 2005), an English essay by the Kent Professor Mark Simmons on the successful policy of Bill Clinton's administration in the 1990s from a contemporary perspective to Lovelace's novel as well. Thus, the article develops the prism of relation to include 'development' in order to visualize how the notion of progress should be a point of departure to remap the nation in future..
