هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى قراءة العلمانية قراءة نقدية، حيث برزت كتيار فكري ساد العالم الإسلامي في العقود الأخيرة بل اتخذته بعض الدول الإسلامية لصيقا بدستورها. اعتمد الباحث على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، حيث تمت دراسة هذا الموضوع من خلال التعرف إلى مفهوم العلمانية ونشأتها، وأهدافها وآثارها، ووسائل وأسباب انتشارها في العالم الإسلامي، وأخيراً قدم الباحث نقداً لأهم مبادئها من منظور إسلامي. وتوصل الباحث إلى عدة نتائج منها: أن العلمانية تهدف إلى بث سموم الفكر الغربي المادي في أواصر المجتمع المسلم، وإلى تمزيق الوحدة العربية، وأن ما تدعو إليه من تطور وتحضر ديمقراطية يتوافق وصلب دعوة العقيدة الإسلامية، فالإسلام يحوي كل إيجابيات العلمانية دون وجود سلبيات فيه.
The goal of this study is to read secularism critically since it rose as a dominant intellectual ideology in the previous centuries in the Islamic world as it was tenaciously adopted along with the constitutions of some Islamic countries. The researcher relies on the descriptive and analytical methodology through the examination of the definition of the concept of secularism, its initiation, objectives, impacts, and the reasons behind its popularity in the Islamic world. It also investigates the main reasons behind its spread. Finally the researcher presents a critique of some of its most important principles from an Islamic perspective. Some of the conclusions reached in this study include: That secularism aims at spreading its poisonous Western materialistic thought in the heart of the Islamic community and it also aims at tearing the Arab unity apart. The study eventually finds that the qualities of democracy, progress, and advancement, which secularism calls for are already existent within the heart of the Islamic creed since Islam encompasses all the positive aspects of secularism without harboring the unfavorable aspects attached to it and its application.
