المستخلص: أيمانا أن المكتبة العامة هي الجهة المنوطة بها لمعالجة "معلومات المجتمع: Community Information وتيسير سبل إتاحتها للمستفيدين، تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى تناول الوضع الحالي لمعالجة معلومات المجتمع. في مكتبة مصر العامة والتي تضم بيانات الأنشطة كجزء أساسي من عمل المكتبة العامة، فضلا عن "معلومات المجتمع على عمومها" وهي التي قد يحتاج إليها المجتمع في حياته اليومية. تختلف معلومات المجتمع عن الفهرسة الاجتماعية (Social cataloguimg) والتي يقصد بها قيام كافة الأفراد والهيئات من كافة دول العالم على اختلاف أجناسهم ومجتمعاتهم وأعمارهم بفهرسة ما يتوفر لديهم من كتب مع إتاحة هذه البيانات الوصفية والموضوعية للمشاركة والإفادة للجميع من خلال موقع على شبكة. هذا فضلا عن إمكانية إقامة نقاش حوار حول كتاب بعينه أو مجموعة من الكتب على مستوى عالمي وتقديم العون للآخرين في كيفية الوصول إلى كتاب محدد. "تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى إنشاء "قاعدة بيانات لمعلومات المجتمع" باستخدام النظام الفرعي لمعلومات المجتمع المتوافق مع شكل مارك 21 لمعلومات المجتمع كأحد النظم الفرعية للنظام الآلي المتكامل "سيمفونى" المطبق في "مكتبة مصر العامة"، مع استيعاب كافة حقول شكل مارك 21 لمعلومات المجتمع التي تحظى على أكبر حجم من الاستخدام، فضلا عن إعداد كافة أنواع التسجيلات (لبرنامج – لحدث – لشخص – لهيئة – أخرى) ذلك بما يتوافق مع تطبيقات هذا الشكل. اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج التجريبي مستعينة بأدوات جمع بيانات متباينة تمثلت في المقابلات الشخصية المقننة التي يتم تطبيقها اعتمادا على قائمة مراجعة" تحت عنوان "قائمة مراجعة المعالجة الآلية لمعلومات المجتمع في المكتبات العامة مع التطبيق على مكتبة مصر العامة"، تم إجراء هذه المقابلات مع المتخصصين في المكتبة والمسئولين عن معالجة معلومات المجتمع وذلك في المرحلة التحضيرية، وأستتبع ذلك أعداد استبيان بعنوان "المتطلبات المتوقعة من معلومات المجتمع في تطبيق الشكل الاتصالى مارك 21 بمكتبة مصر العامة" وقد وجه هذا الاستبيان لرصد أراء المستفيدين حول حجم الاستفادة المتوقعة من إتمام هذه المعالجة الإلكترونية لبيانات الأنشطة كجزء أساسي لمعلومات المجتمع ويمثل تحسيبها وتداولها والتعريف بها مشكلة للمكتبات العامة وتم تقديم هذه الاستبانة في مرحلة التحضيرية من التجربة. أخيرا تم إعداد استبانة بعنوان "استطلاع الرأي حول تقييم قاعدة بيانات معلومات المجتمع المنشأة في مكتبة مصر العامة" وذلك في المرحلة البعدية من التجربة، وجه هذا الاستبيان كخطوة أساسية هامة للمتخصصين بمكتبة مصر العامة الأكثر تعاملا مع بيانات الأنشطة وذلك تمهيدا لأتاحتها للمستفيدين اقتصرت الدراسة على الأنشطة التي تمت خلال سنة مالية واحدة في كل من قسمي الكبار والعلاقات العامة بالمكتبة، فضلا عن تسجيلات معلومات مجتمع للمصادر الإلكترونية لتقديم الإتاحة الإلكترونية لمجموعة من المواقع الإلكترونية التي تخدم المجتمع وتقدم معلومات صحية – اقتصادية – ترفيهية - ثقافية – سياسية – سياحية – الخ من المواقع الخدمية المحدثة. وخرجت الدراسة بمجموعة من النتائج يمكن تعميمها والاستفادة منها سواء من جانب العاملين في المكتبة العامة أو المستفيدين منها.

Based on the belief that the Public Library is the body entrusted with processing "Community Information and facilitating its access to beneficiaries, this study seeks to address the current situation of community information processing in Misr Public Library, which includes activity data, as an essential part of the work of the Public Library, as well as "Community Information at large" which the community may need in its daily life. Community information differs from social cataloging, which means all individuals and bodies from all countries of the world of different races, communities, and ages catalog their available books, and giving these descriptive and objective data to be participated and benefited by all through a web site. This is in addition to the possibility of having a dialogue about a particular book or a collection of books on a global scale, and help others on how to access a specific book. "This study aims to create a Community Information Database using the MARC 21 Community Information Subsystem as one of the subsystems of the Integrated Automated System "Simphony" applied in the Misr Public Library with all MARC 21 format fields accommodating community information that has the greatest volume of usage as well as preparing all types of recordings (for a program — an event — a person — a body — any other) in accordance with the applications of this format. The study relied on the experimental approach using various data collection tools such as the codified personal interviews applied based on a checklist under the title "Automated processing of community information in public libraries, applied to the Misr Public Library." These interviews were conducted with specialists in the library and officials of processing community information at the preparatory stage. This was followed by the preparation of a questionnaire titled "Expected Requirements for Community Information in the Application of Contact Form Mark 21 at the Misr Public Library". This questionnaire was directed to monitor the views of beneficiaries on the extent of the expected benefit from completing this electronic processing of activity data as a key part of community information, computation, circulation, and familiarization of which is a problem for public libraries. This questionnaire was submitted at the preparatory stage of the experiment. Finally, a questionnaire titled "Poll on the evaluation of the community information database established in the Misr Public Library" was prepared at the later stage of the experiment. This questionnaire was directed as an important basic step for the specialists of the Misr Public Library who deal mostly with activities data, as a preparatory step in making it available to the beneficiaries
The study was limited to activities that took place during one fiscal year in each of the Library's Adult and Public Relations departments, as well as community information recordings for electronic resources to provide electronic access to a range of websites that serve the community and provide health, economic and recreational - cultural-political - tourism, etc. information form the updated service sites. The study produced a series of results that can be published and utilized by both public library staff and beneficiaries.
