|b The present study sought to identify the administrative accountability application requirements at the government schools in the Sultanate of Oman. It also focused on highlighting the differences among die sample group attributed to their gender, qualifications and number of years of experience. The population of the study consisted of all employees working at the government schools in the Sultanate of Oman. A random sample of (171) principals was selected from the whole population. In order to collect the data, a questionnaire was developed. It consisted of (48) statements which were grouped under three dimensions (administrative accountability transparency and spreading its culture, administrative accountability tools and methods and conditions of administrative accountability team). The data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The analysis revealed the following results: 1.The sample of the study valued administrative accountability' application at the government schools in the Sultanate of Oman to a great extent. 2.There were statistically significant differences from the sample's point of view about conditions of administrative accountability team attributed to scientific qualification in favor of PhD/Master holders. 3. There were statistically significant differences from the sample's point of view about administrative accountability application in general and on the dimension of conditions of administrative accountability team attributed to number of years' experience in favor of the most experienced principals. In the light of the study results, a number of recommendations were suggested.

|a هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد متطلبات تطبيق المساءلة الإدارية على المدارس الحكومية في سلطنة عمان، والكشف عن دلالة الفروق في هذه المتطلبات باختلاف متغيرات النوع الاجتماعي، والمؤهل العلمي، وسنوات الخبرة الوظيفية. تم اختيار عينة الدراسة بالطريقة العشوائية، وعددها (171) مديراً ومديرة من مجموع العاملين بالمدارس الحكومية في سلطنة عمان. ولجمع البيانات الخاصة بالدراسة، تم تطوير استبانة، تكونت من (48) فقرة، وتوزعت على ثلاثة محاور، هي: (شفافية المساءلة الإدارية ونشر ثقافتها، وأدوات المساءلة الإدارية وأساليبها، وشروط فريق المساءلة الإدارية). وبمعالجة البيانات إحصائياً عن طريق الرزمة الإحصائية للعلوم الاجتماعية (SPSS) تم التوصل إلى النتائج الآتية: 1-جاءت تقديرات أفراد عينة الدراسة على متطلبات تطبيق المساءلة الإدارية على المدارس الحكومية في سلطنة عمان بدرجة مرتفعة. 2-توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزي لمتغير المؤهل العلمي في محور شروط فريق المساءلة الإدارية، ولصالح مؤهل الدكتوراه/ الماجيستير. 3-توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزي لمتغير سنوات الخبرة الوظيفية في المتطلبات بشكل عام، ومحور شروط فريق المساءلة الإدارية، ولصالح ذوي الخبرة الأكثر. وبناءً على ما توصلت إلية الدراسة من نتائج، تم اقتراح بعض التوصيات.
