Home is the nest where the family is born .grows and lives ,it is the place where man sucks the milk of love, loyalty and freedom. Homesickness is a human innate emotion .it has been the desire of poets to write about that for many years .how can one live away from a place where he spent the sweetest days of his childhood without longing to it ! My study is about homesickness poetry in the second abasi period. Hoping that other research will come and continue this series until the end of the abasi period. I followed integrated approach in my study which includes the historical ,psychological ,physiological and descriptive approaches. The study contains an introduction ,an abstract ,three sections and conclusion. In the introduction, I discuned the language development related this phenomenon ,its forms and reasons. The first section, I devoted to the topics that homesickness poetry talked about. I divided these topics in to homesickness to the land of the obliged, constrained, and the homesickness of al Mujahideen (fighters). In the second section, I approached the place and its importance to the poet since most homesickness is about the homeland in its different forms. This kind of poetry was advanced into two parallel lines. The first was the place which represent safety, security and tranquility to which the poet pines for and misses and the second is the place where the poet represents anxiety, uneasiness and pain.
In the third section, I approached the techniques, the homesickness poets used in their writings. I studied the language , the poem general construction, the style, the figures of speech, music, and the poetry practice. In the conclusion, I talked about the results of the study which show the importance of the homesickness poetry, since it is humane , innate and emotional which has been found as far as human being exists. Since then poets used it to express their pining to their homeland which represents security, tranquility and native land. It is the mirror in which one can see happiness, relief, and comfort and above all freedom which is the most valuable. The honesty of the homesickness poet is considered one of the factors that help this kind of poetry survive because it expresses true emotions not fabricated no created as it is eulogy and depiction poetry I found that there is an extrem need for many issues to be studied the most important are:- a- the poetry of prisoners , it needs a clear technical study in terms of language , style, emotions, figures, of speech and how it expresses the real situation of the poet(prisoner). b- the poetry of deportees, the focus should be on the reason for deportation and the psychological condition of the poet. There is no need to study this kind of poetry in terms of history and place. c- the psychology of the judges and kings, in particular, how they treat the imprisoned -poets , when they asked for sympathy and entreaty and how being in prison affects the poet
