المستخلص: The researcher has made sure by virtue of the amount of information that reached him by university students and the rebels from outside the university that most of the people of Libya, Specially university students in Misurata, have been following-up the Arab news channels during the February 17 revolution in Libya, to get the daily information on the repercussions of the events. Consequently, this study seeks to determine the extent of Libya's university students rely on these channels during the Libyan revolution, so as to find out the role played by these channels in the supply of university students with information on the revolution. So it is necessary to study this subject by the Arab news channels. The research problem, therefore, is determined in the following main question: What is the role of Arab news channels to provide university students with the information during the Libyan revolution, February 17? Research importance: The role that could be played by the Arab news channels to provide university students with information during the Libyan revolution February 17. The importance of the age group covered by this research, Undergraduate age (18-21) years of the first year up to the fourth year which represent the late adolescence. Objectives: The research mainly aims at identifying the role played by the news channels in Arabic to provide the Libyan university students with the information during the Libyan revolution, February 17. Research boundaries: The boundaries of the research are: Time boundaries: it was the time period for the application of the field research in March 2013. Spatial boundaries: The questionnaire was applied to university students at the University of the State of Misurata Objectivity border: it is represented in the subject of research: the role of the Arabic news channels to provide university students with the information during the Libyan revolution The study is based on a sample survey approach, which is used to study the members of the public and get to know their opinions and the effects of the media and Arab news channels on their psychological and social life. Data collection Two hundred questionnaires have been distributed to Misurata university students to collect the data. The students were from two colleges: Arts and sciences ranging from the first to the fourth year. The questionnaire: It was based on the research objectives and its questions in the light of the characteristics of the human sample. The research community and the sample: The research community is represented in the university students of the city of Misurata, University of the State of Libya, Misurata. It was a simple random sample of (200) (males - females). The following have been taken into account: To represent males and females. To represent theoretical and practical colleges to show the differences between them. The sample represents the four years at university to show the differences in these years. The basic concepts of this research: Role: is the sum of act expectations by the Arab news channels to provide university students with information during the Libyan revolution, February 17. Arab news channels: they are Arabic-language news channels, offering viewers the most current local and international events. B. University students: the sample i.e. (the procedural meaning) is students in the last stage of adolescence (18:21 years) and represents a sample of university students in the first year of this research until the fourth year of Undergraduate of the University of Misurata, Libya. February 17 Libyan revolution: is a set of political and military events where the armed force used to change the system of Moamer Kadhafi, who ruled Libya state more than forty years. The Libyan revolution has succeeded in the removal of this regime and the death of Gaddafi, its mind thinker. The most important findings of the study: 1. There is a strong positive correlation, statistically significant, between the degree of university youth's dependence on Arab news channels and their knowledge about the Libyan revolution, February 17, where the values (t> 0.6) function at a level of significance 0.01. There is a medium positive correlation statistically significant between university youth exposure to Arab news channels and the increase of their information about the Libyan revolution on February 17, where the values (0.3 <t <0.6) function at a level of significance 0.01. There were statistically significant differences between students of science and theoretical colleges' students in the intensity of exposure to Arab news channels for the benefit of students of theoretical colleges. Significant statistical differences between the scores of the sample depending on the students' year in the intensity of exposure to Arab news channels, where the value of (P) function at a level of 0.001
