|a تعتبر نظم المعلومات "Information System" هي أساس التحول الذي أحدثته ثورة المعلومات في النشر الالكتروني الذي يوفر إمكانيات هائلة في حفظ كم هائل من البيانات وإجراء كل العمليات المطلوبة بالدقة والسرعة المطلوبتين كما تعتبر الأداة الأساسية للحياة العصرية سواء في خدمة الأعمال العلمية والعملية المختلفة حيث أصبحت المعلومات هي الركيزة الأساسية لوضع الاستراتيجيات والخطط التنموية القومية بكافة صورها. لتصميم الموقع وواجهة الاستخدام الدور الكبير في نجاح الموقع، حيث يساعد المستفيد في الوصول المباشر والسريع إلى المعلومات المطلوبة. ويعتبر المستفيدون من أهم العوامل المتعلقة بتصميم المواقع وواجهة الاستخدام وهم الهدف الأساسي لإنشاء الموقع. توصلت النتائج الى أن استخدام لغة البرمجة PHP وقواعد البيانات MYSQL لتصميم مواقع إلكترونية قوية وفعالة تلعب دور كبير في نشر موسوعة المعرفة للمحاصيل الزراعية السودانية. ودور النشر الالكتروني في توفير المعرفة الزراعية الموثقة.
