520 |b This study was set out to investigate Speaking anxiety Strategies used by Libyan EFL university students at Benghazi university- Faculty of Arts and Science - A1 Kufra. The researcher used the analytical descriptive method to analyze the collected data. The following statistical methods were used in the study: mathematical calculations and percentages. The research problem illustrates that, during study at the university; the students were asked to communicate with each other using English language. This situation creates anxiety among them. This study aims to overcome English spoken anxiety, by using number of strategies. It will discuss the frequency of the speaking strategies used by EFL learners as well as learners' self- awareness of different ways to overcome language anxiety. A1 Kufrah Faculty of Arts and Science was chosen for the survey study with 100 students as a sample for this study. The researcher selected a random sample of students, and applied the suitable statistical methods in the study. At the end of the study, the researcher comes out with many results and stated a number of recommendations as follows: - Libyan learners should recognize that the fear is not desirable. It is also important to realize that perfection is an impossible goal and that is not a requisite for success. - Libyan learners should learn how to relax. The more one relaxes, the more anxiety dissipates. Sit comfortably and straight in the classroom seat. Before class or during class, take long, slow breaths, hold it for four or five seconds and release it slowly. Stretch arms and legs for additional muscle relaxation.
