printing techniques Constitutes the most important stage in the printed press industry, those techniques strides since the discovery of the modem printing machine in the fifteenth century by the German scientist JOHANNES GUTENBERG in Mainz city at Germany, the printing machine enabled the emergence of the press and printed books and reduced the time and effort together to move from hand copied printed newspaper, to mechanized printing with commercial quantities. The improvement of printing process start by the development of flat printing, where subjects are placed on a flat surface and pass by the cylinder to finalize the printing process. The second boom was the invention of the rotary printing, the process in which the images or texts to be printed are curved around a cylinder. The invention which raised the output of a printing press to millions of pages per day, but also paved the way for the more modem printing machines we have now The top of technological revolution and the most popular method of printing we have today is the offset printing which had persisted over the past Mid -century and still the top with some amendments to the different pre-printing stages such as colors separation , text process of articles intended for publication, as well as for images to be edited and printed through image processing programs (Photoshop) and using of all porgraphic elements such as charts, maps, illustrations , separators, tables, and other important elements that achieve the main goals of lay out like readability and protruding differentiation and beauty and good use of the paper area and creates harmony between Page topics and the newspaper. The printing technology is important in light of the great competition between the media and newspapers and the strides towards improving the image of the newspaper in colors, images and the highlight of subjects to be focused and stimulates readers for the purchase of the Newspapers because of its good printing ,clear & brilliant colors , fascinating and the overall balance between all tipographic elements, which find their Place on the front page, which is the interface of the core newspaper and the main attraction that are imposed on the reader purchase of Newspapers. So, the printing process forms an important stage in the formation of the newspaper and it’s marketing, printing process forms a media to deliver the message of the newspaper, the message that carried by the reported news which are selected in the framework of the editorial policy pursued by the newspaper as well as opinions and ideas contained in the columns, articles and other press issues in the Internal Pages.
تشكل تقنيات الطباعة المرحلة الأكثر أهمية في عمليات صناعة الصحافة المطبوعة وقد أحرزت تلك التقنيات طفرات هائلة منذ اكتشاف المطبعة الحديثة في القرن الخامس عشر على يد العالم الألماني يوهان غوتنبيرج في مدينة مينز بألمانيا، فقد نقلت المطبعة منذ تلك المرحلة عملية الطباعة بصورة مكنت من ظهور الصحافة وطباعة الكتب واختزلت الوقت والجهد معاً لتنقل الصحافة المنسوخة باليد إلى طباعة آلية وبكميات تجارية. ثم بدأت عمليات تجويد الطباعة بالانتقال بها وتطويرها من طباعة مسطحة حيث كانت الموضوعات توضع على سطح بارز وتمر عليها الأسطوانات لتتم عملية الطباعة، ثم جاءت الطفرة الثانية بالطباعة الدوارة الغائرة، ثم البارزة وجاءت قمة الثورة التكنولوجية في عمليات الطباعة بطباعة الأفست أو الطباعة الملساء.. وهي الطباعة التي استمرت طيلة نصف القرن الماضي ومازالت هي الأولى إلى الآن مع إدخال الكثير من التعديلات للمراحل المختلفة ما قبل الطباعة prepress مثل فصل الألوان والمعالجات النصية للمواد المعدة للنشر وكذلك للصور المراد طباعاتها من خلال برامج (الفوتوشوب) ووضع كل العناصر الطباعية كالرسوم البيانية والخرائط الإيضاحية والفواصل والجداول وغيرها من العناصر المهمة التي تحقق الأهداف الأساسية للإخراج الصحفي مثل المقروئية أو الإتغرائية والإبراز والتمايز والتجميل وحسن استغلال المسطح الورقي وخلق الانسجام والتواؤم بين موضوعات الصفحة والصحيفة. وتعتبر تقنيات الطباعة أمراً مهماً في ظل التنافس الكبير بين وسائل الإعلام والصحف والتسابق الكبير حول تحسين صورة الصحيفة من حيث الألوان والصور وإبراز الموضوعات المراد التركيز عليها وتحفيز القارئ لشراء الصحيفة لما تتمتع به من ورق جيد وطباعه واضحة وجيدة وألوان أخاذه وتوازن عام بين جميع العناصر الطباعية التي تجد مواقعها على مساحة الصفحة الأولى التي تعتبر فاترينة العرض الأساسية للصحيفة والجاذبية الكبيرة التي تفرض على القارئ شراء الصحيفة. إذن فإن الطباعة تشكل مرحلة مهمة من مراحل تشكيل الصحيفة وتسويقها وتوصيل مهمة الرسالة الإعلامية التي تحملها الصحيفة بين صفحاتها ابتداءً من الأخبار المنتقاة في إطار السياسة التحريرية التي تنتهجها الصحيفة وكذلك الآراء والأفكار المتضمنة في الأعمدة والمقالات والموضوعات الصحفية الأخرى في الصفحات الداخلية.
