|b The study aimed at identifying the level of psychological traits and the level of achievement and their relationship with the players short distances in Jordanian universities as well as to identify the variable impact of the (sex) on the level of psychological traits and its impact on the level of achievement, and the researcher used descriptive survey for data collection, and the study sample consisted of (49) players short distances was chosen as the way intentional answered the questionnaire consisted of (28) items distributed on four areas (trait anxiety, trait focus attention, mental visualization feature, self) confidence feature. The data were analyzed using the arithmetic means and standard deviations alpha Cronbach's coefficient for the detection of stability study tool and values sprains and correlation coefficient and the application of analysis (Independent Samples Test), The results showed that the overall average for mental attributes was high and all fields of study, and that the level of High achievement gave an indication of the distribution of the data and all the normal activities, The results also showed a correlation between the level of psychological traits and the level of achievement in all the attributes of the study except trait anxiety, which was moderate, and also the lack of statistical significance in the areas of differences (trait anxiety, self-confidence feature, the tool as a whole), depending on the variable (sex), but the presence of statistically significant in the areas of differences (focus attention trait and characteristic mental visualization) depending on the sex variable and in favor of (male), and finally there are statistically significant differences in the effectiveness of the differences (100m, 200m, 400m) depending on the sex variable and in favor of (male).

|a هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى مستوي السمات النفسية ومستوي الإنجاز والعلاقة بينهما لدي عدائي المسافات القصيرة في الجامعات الأردنية وكذلك التعرف إلى أثر متغير (الجنس) على مستوي السمات النفسية وعلى مستوي الإنجاز، وقد استخدم الباحثون المنهج الوصفي بصورته المسحية، وتكون مجتمع وعينة الدراسة من (49) عداء تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العمدية وبأسلوب الحصر الشامل، حيث أجابوا على استبانة مكونة من (28) فقرة موزعة على أربعة مجالات (سمة القلق، وسمة تركيز الانتباه، وسمة التصور العقلي، وسمة الثقة بالنفس). تم تحليل البيانات باستخدام برنامج الحزم الإحصائية (SPSS) وحساب المتوسطات الحسابية والانحرافات المعيارية ومعامل كرونباخ ألفا للكشف عن ثبات أداة الدراسة وقيم الالتواء ومعامل الارتباط (Correlation coefficient) وتطبيق تحليل (Samples test independent)، وقد أظهرت النتائج إلى أن المتوسط العام للسمات النفسية كان مرتفعا ولجميع مجالات الدراسة، وأن مستوى الإنجاز أعطي مؤشرا عاليا على توزيع البيانات طبيعيا ولجميع الفعاليات، كذلك أظهرت النتائج وجود علاقة بين مستوي السمات النفسية ومستوى الإنجاز في جميع سمات الدراسة ما عدا سمة القلق التي كانت معتدلة، وأيضا عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في المجالات (سمة القلق، وسمة الثقة بالنفس، والأداة ككل) تبعا لمتغير (الجنس) ولكن وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مجالات (سمة تركيز الانتباه وسمة التصور العقلي) تبعا لمتغير الجنس ولصالح (الذكور)، وأخيرا وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في فعالية (100م، و200م، و400م) تبعا لمتغير الجنس ولصالح (الذكور).
