المستخلص: Every now and then some scholars raise questions about the existence of some Arab personalities, due to the large number of their achievements, works and impacts. Some of these figures are part of our scientific history, we consider them of large stature and they have the right to be defended and guarded. Away from the enthusiasm for the idea or nationalism; we in this study, will mention the Arab scientists whose existence has been questioned, according to the following methodology. Introduction of the figure very briefly, according to the books of biography, then we will decide the person who questioned or denied the existence of this figure, after that we will present our evidence on the existence of this figure based on the sources and references we have got. At the end of the study will give our interpretation to this phenomenon and the purpose behind this. But first of all we must introduce the methodology of skepticism, its roots and how it evolved among the western historians, and how it influenced some Arab critics.
