المستخلص: ورد مصطلح حقوق الإنسان سبع مرات في الميثاق التأسيسي للأمم المتحدة، وهو ما يبرز دور المنظمة في تعزيز وحماية حقوق الإنسان، باعتبارها غرضا رئيسا ومبدأ توجيهيا أساسيا للمنظمة، فمنذ دخول الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان في مجال القانون الدولي عام 1948، لم تزل المنظمة تعمل عملاً متفانياً على حماية حقوق الإنسان من خلال صكوك قانونية وأنشطة ميدانية، إذ تعمل منظمة الأمم المتحدة على تطبيق اتفاقيات حقوق الإنسان من خلال أجهزتها الرئيسية، وعلى رأسها الجمعية العامة والمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، بالإضافة إلى الوكالات الدولية المتخصصة التي لها علاقة وظيفية بالمنظمة، من جهة أخرى تقوم منظمة الأمم المتحدة بالإشراف على عمل الهيئات التعاقدية المنشاة لغرض رصد تطبيق اتفاقيات حقوق الإنسان على غرار اللجنة المعنية بحقوق الإنسان ولجنة الحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية. واللجان المتعلقة بالاتفاقيات الخاصة بموضوعات معينة.

Le Terme « Droits de l'homme » a été employé sept fois (07) dans la charte constitutionnelle des nations unies, ce qui représente le rôle primordiale accordé par cette l'organisation pour la consolidation et la protection de ces droits, en vu de son importance comme un but principale et un principe majeur dans la vision de l'organisation, car depuis la mise en vigueur de la charte international des droits de l'homme dans le cadre du droit international en 1948, l'organisation a toujours opté pour la mise en place d’un dispositif juridique et judiciaire efficace afin de protéger les droits de l'homme.
Dans ce cadre, l'organisation des nations unies travaille pour une application des conventions des droits de l'homme par le biais de ses institutions principales, plus particulièrement l'assemblée générale et l'assemblée économique et sociale, ainsi que les agences internationaux spécialisés qui ont une relation fonctionnelle avec l'organisation, par ailleurs l'organisation des nations unies fait une prospection sur le travail des institutions conventionnelles chargées de contrôler et d'appliquer les diverses conventions des droits de l'homme, à l’image de la commission chargée des droits de l'homme et la commission des droits économiques et sociaux, et les commissions chargées par d’autres conventions spéciales.

The term human rights has been repeated seven times in the founding charter of the United Nations, which highlights the role of the Organization in the promotion and protection of human rights as a essential purpose and guiding principle of the Organization. Since the Universal Declaration of Human Rights entered into the field of international law in 1948, the organization still dedicated hard work for the protection of human rights through legal instruments and field activities. On the one hand, the United Nations Organization works to implement human rights conventions through its main organs, primarily the General Assembly and the Economic and Social Council, as well as specialized international agencies, which have a functional relationship with the organization. On the other hand, the United Nations oversees the work of the treaty bodies established for the purpose of monitoring the application of human rights conventions along the lines of the Human Rights Committee, the Committee on Economic and Social Rights, in addition to the committees relating to conventions on specific subjects.
