هدفت الدراسة إلى بيان أحكام الفقه الإسلامي والنصوص الشرعية، والفوائد الصحية والدراسات الطبية التي تتعلق بموضوع السواك، فاقتضت الدراسة استخدام المنهج الاستقرائي في التعامل مع أمهات كتب الشريعة الإسلامية في التفسير والفقه وشروح الحديث؛ لاستخراج النصوص الشرعية التي تتحدث عن السواك وحكم استعماله وأفضليته، واستخدم الباحث كذلك المنهج التحليلي الاستنباطي في التعامل مع الدراسات والبحوث الطبية بشكل عام وطب الفم والأسنان على وجه الخصوص، وقد توصلت هذه الدراسة إلى جملة من النتائج، أهمها: السواك استعمال عود أو نحوه لتنظيف الأسنان ولإذهاب التغير فيها، ثبت مشروعية استعماله بنصوص الشرع، وهو خصلة من خصال الفطرة. اتفق علماء الشريعة وعلماء طب الأسنان على ضرورة المحافظة على استعمال السواك تطبيقاً للسنة النبوية ولأهميته الصحية. وأن للسواك أوقات أفضلية وطريقة معينة لاستعماله اتفق عليها علماء الشريعة وطب الأسنان.
This study aimed to the statement of the provisions of Islamic jurisprudence and texts legitimacy, health benefits and medical studies that relate to the subject of tooth brushing, study the use of inductive approach in dealing with the mothers wrote Islamic law in the interpretation and jurisprudence and explanations of modern required, and use the researcher as well as the analytical deductive approach in dealing with studies and research medical general medicine mouth and teeth in particular, this study found a number of findings, including: tooth brushing use promises or so to clean the teeth and remove the change which proved the legitimacy of its use in the Qur'an and Sunnah, a lock of the qualities of instinct. Shariah scholars and scientists dental agreed on the need to preserve the use of tooth brushing application of the Prophetic Sunnah health and its importance. And miswaak characteristic times for use and has a particular method of use agreed upon by scholars and scientists dentistry.
