المستخلص: The following study focuses on the impact of libraries on the Tunisian revolution. It tries to shed light on how do the various informational environments in question contribute to the acquisition of a socio-economic as well as a political education. Similarly, this study tries to see whether these environments are coping with what is currently happening. This is a hot topic: it seems that libraries have never been mentioned during the discussions and debates analyzing the factors that have influenced social movements. The need to shed light on social phenomena as well as on human responses called for adherence to the qualitative method since it offers more heterogeneous possibilities for data collection. It seems that public libraries have been influential in shaping the minds of their users and their interests in socio-economic as well as political facts. The timid reaction of the information specialists after the Tunisian revolution has brought into question their mission in the 21st century. This issue becomes even more serious when we start to observe that more and more libraries are without users. It should be noted, however, that this situation is gradually spreading in more than one country all over the world. The geographical scope of the study seems to be too small in order to understand how to fight the lack of interest of library users on the one hand and the passive "defeatism" of some information specialists on the other hand. It is suggested that an international and a more comprehensive study on libraries would be appropriate. Moreover, it would be interesting to make the Internet an ally of libraries.

يحظى موضوع تأثير المكتبة في الثورة التونسية باهتمام الباحثين الذين يريدون معرفة مدي مساهمة هذا الفضاء في إكساب المواطن ثقافة على الأصعدة الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والسياسية، وإلى أي حد يمكن أن تتعايش مع الواقع. إن اهتمامات هذا البحث المتواضع حينية، إذ يبدو أن المكتبات غيبت من الدراسات التي اعتمدت في تحليل العوامل المؤثرة في الحركات الاحتجاجية، وقد تم اعتماد طريقة البحث الكيفية في تناول دراسة "المكتبة والثورة التونسية"، وذلك لخصائصها الاستثنائية التي تمكن من تفسير الظواهر الاجتماعية وتصرفات الفرد. ويتجلى من الدراسة أن المكتبات العمومية ساهمت في تكوين طريقة تفكير المستفيد وتدريبه على الاهتمام بما يجري في البلاد. وتجدر الملاحظة الى ان رد فعل اخصائي المعلومات على إثر ما وقع بتونس بعد الرابع عشر من جانفي 2011 يفرض تساؤلات حول مهمته في القرن الحادي والعشرين خاصة وان الوضعية تبدو حرجة بغياب المستفيدين اليوم من المكتبة بادئ ذي بدء كانت الدراسة ستقتصر على النطاق الجغرافي التونسي الا ان هذا الخيار قد لا يفي بالحاجة اذا اردنا إيجاد حلول لمكتبات عمومية خالية من الزوار ولطريقة تفكير بعض المختصين في مجال المعلومات الاجدر انجاز دراسة عالمية شاملة في هذا الخصوص تصبح من خلالها الانترنت حليفة للمكتبات
