Nusantara is archipelago that has many islands and various ethnics. How had communities imagined Indonesia Nation? Mecca and Cairo Ulama networks had given spirit for Indonesia Independence. How did they motivate the movement that proclaimed one country, one state, and one language in the Youth Pledge (October 28, 1928)? This research look at process acculturation, assimilation, and enculturation of Islam (Young Yun Kim, 2004). The scope of three dimension is communicator, context, and channel that spread the muslim movement and gender against colonialist. The historical approach has found the relations that Nusantara and Egypt trader, Sayid Bakri Abidin Syatta and syaikh Ahmad Chotib al Minangkabawi, Djamaluddin Al Afgani, Muhammad. Abduh, and Rasyid Ridha reformer and al Ahram, al Urwah al Wutsaa magazine, al Manar in Cairo - al Munir Magazine in West Sumatra, Rahmah el Yunusiyah Feminist/Syaikhah, alumni Diniyah Putri and al Azhar University scholarship award. This paper argues that the historical Nusantara from variety of references and sides. Cultural tradition has been sustained as in Surau in West Sumatra, Dayah in Aceh, and Pesantren in Java. The contribution of the paper in academic significances show that various sides has told national building in Indonesia. The textbook for communication, broadcasting, and Islam major in Faculty of Dakwah and Communication Sciences as practical significances. It is hoped the empirical textbook.
