المستخلص: لم يتيسر لتراث أمة من الأمم في التاريخ ما تيسر لتراث هذه الأمة وعلومها من أسباب النقل السليم، وكل ذلك من آثار رحمة الله تعالى بأمة المصطفى (صلى الله عليه وسلم)، ووعده إياها بأن يحفظ عليها الهداية التي خصّها بها بقوله: (إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا الذِّكْرَ وَإِنَّا لَهُ لَحَافِظُونَ)، وقد رتّب لذلك الحفظ أسبابه، فاصطفى لتلك الوظيفة منتجبيه وأحبابه، ولذلك المنهج مبتكريه وأربابه.
وكان استحداث نظام انتقال المعارف في الإسلام من مقتضيات ختم الرسالة، وذلك لأن الأمم السابقة كانت تعتمد في تصحيح ما يقع في أديانها من انحرافات على تجدد الرسالات، وبعثة أنبياء جدد، مؤيدين بالوحي والعصمة الإلهية... أما وقد انصرمت سلسلة الرسل ببعثته (صلى الله عليه وسلم) فلم يبق لهذه الأمة من يحفظ لها نصوص دينها في عالم الأسباب إلا نقل العامة عن العامة جيلا فجيلا، أو بتتبع نقل الثقاة والحفاظ، وهذا ما يجعل من الإسناد ونظام الإجازة خصيصة إسلامية خالصة.
وإن الذي ينعم النظر في نظام الإجازة العلمية في نقل القرآن والعلوم المتعلقة به يجزم بأن ذلك النظام من التدابير الإلهية والألطاف الربانية المعجزة لحفظ القرآن وبيانه، وأنّه من مظاهر إعجاز آية الحفظ الموعود، لكلامه وكتابه.
وسوف نسلط الضوء في هذه الصفحات على بعض تفاصيل نظام الإجازة الذي لا يزال معمولا به عند المسلمين؛ من حيث نشأته ودوافع ابتكاره وبعض مزاياه، مع ذكر بعض قضاياه الشائقة المتعلقة به.

No heritage of any nation in history has been facilitated in terms of proper transmission like the heritage of this Ummah and its sciences. All of that is from the effects of the mercy of Allah, the Most High, with the Ummah of Al-Mustafaa (Peace and blessings be upon him) and His promise to the Ummah to preserve the guidance which He had specified for her, when He said: “Verily, we have revealed the Dhikr (Qur’an) and verily we are its preservers”. And the causes of that preservation were arranged, as He chose for that role his specially selected and beloved ones, whilst that path has its innovative people and its masters.
The innovative introduction of a system of knowledge transmission in Islam was one of the dictates of the sealing of the message. That is because the prior nations used to rely, in respect to rectifying the aberrations of their religions, upon the renewal of the messages, and the sending of new prophets; supported by revelation and divine infallibility. However, as the series of the sending of Prophets has passed and come to an end as marked by the mission of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), there does not remain for this nation anyone to preserve the texts of its religion for her in the world of causes, apart from the general transmission from generation to generation, or by tracking the transmission of trusted sources and those who have memorized them. This is what makes the Isnad (chain or narration) and the system of Ijazah a purely Islamic feature.
The one who scrutinizes the system of scientific/knowledge-based Ijazah in relation to the transmition of the Qur'an and its related sciences, is certain that this system is from the divine managements and miraculous measures for the preservation of the Qur'an and its explanation, and that it is from the manifestations of the miraculous nature of the verse which promises the preservation; of His speech and His book.
In these pages, we will shed light upon some details of the Ijazah system, which is still being worked with to this today among Muslims, in terms of its origin, the motivations behind its innovation and some of its distinguishing qualities, in addition to mentioning some of the interesting issues related to it.
