المستخلص: La question de la personnalité est un thème qui nécessite davantage de recherches et d’études eu égard à son importance dans la compréhension de l’évolution des sociétés. Inscrivant leur démarche dans cette posture, les auteurs de la présente contribution proposent d’étudier cette question à travers l’adaptation de l’application du test des cinq grands traits de la personnalité au cas algérien. Après avoir discuté les différents aspects de ce test, ils expliquent la méthodologie appliquée pour élaborer des normes de son adaptabilité au cas algérien. Le questionnaire est proposé à un panel composé de 927 individus repartis sur cinq régions d’Algérie et représentant les différentes couches sociales. Il ressort de la lecture des résultats présentés qu’il est indispensable de reformuler certains énoncés pour qu’ils soient applicables à l’étude de la personnalité algérienne.

The question of personality is a subject that requires more research and studies in view of its importance in understanding the evolution of societies. In this approach, this study contributes to this issue through the adaptation of the application of the test of the five big personality traits to the Algerian case. After discussing the different aspects of this test, the methodology used to develop standards is explained to elaborate norms of its adaptability to the Algerian case. The questionnaire is proposed to a panel of 927 individuals in five regions of Algeria and representing different social strata. According to our results, it is essential to revise certain statements so that they are applicable to the study of the Algerian personality.

يقترح كتاب هذا المقال المساهمة في دراسة الشخصية الجزائرية من خلال أجراء بحث ميداني لتقنين مقياس سمات الشخصية الخمس الكبرى الذي أعده وجربه علماء النفس وخاصة في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وهذا بهدف تكييف تطبيقه في الجزائر، وبعد شرح هذا المقياس من خلال عدة نظريات، وبعد عرض الإجراءات المنهجية المطبقة في اختباره في الجزائر على عينة مكونة من 927 مفردة موزعة على ستة مناطق ممثلة لشرائح اجتماعية مختلفة، يعرض المقال النتائج المتوصل إليها في تقنين المقياس على مستوى مختلف مستويات الصدق، ويقترح في هذا الإطار مراجعة عدد من الصفات والعبارات التي تضمنها المقياس مثل " متحفظ" و" يميل إلى الكشف "و غيرها و هذا لرفع الغموض الذى يحيط تطبيقها في الجزائر.
