|a تعد رملة آل وهيبة منطقة صحراوية رملية، أغلبها في محافظتي الشرقية شمالا وجنوبا، وجزء منها بمحافظة الوسطي من سلطنة عمان، وقد سميت بهذا الاسم لأن معظم ساكنيها من قبيلة آل وهيبة البدوية المشهورة، وهم أول من استوطنها من قديم الزمان كما تشير بذلك المصادر التراثية والخرائط الجغرافية، ووثقتها الدراسات العلمية العالمية التي أجريت حولها، بالإضافة إلي ورودها بالمناهج الدراسية والتاريخ العماني.\nومما هو مثير لاهتمام الباحثين في هذا المجال انه طرأ في السنوات القليلة الماضية – من عام 2000م فصاعدا – تغيير لهذا المسمى التراثي والثقافي لرملة آل وهيبة، واستحداث مسميات جديدة دون مسوغ علمي أو طيبوغرافي للمنطقة، كما أنها مسميات لا علاقة لها بماضي المنطقة ولا بحاضرها، كمسمي " رمال الشرقية"، أو " منطقة الرمال" أو الرمال الغربية" أو "رمال بدية" لأن تعدد هذه المسميات بالتأكيد لا يحقق المصالح العامة للمجتمع المحلي للمنطقة، بل يسهم في ضياع تاريخها وما عرفت به منذ قديم الزمان.\nوتهدف هذه الدراسة إلي إظهار الأبعاد الفلسفية لأصالة استخدام مسمي رملة آل وهيبة في التراث والتاريخ العماني . وتشمل علي:\n-\tمقدمة بها تعريف بالرملة وحدودها.\n-\tأهمية رملة آل وهيبة\n-\t مبررات الدراسة.\n-\t بداية تغييرات المسمى.\n-\t أبعاد فلسفية لأصالة مسمي رملة آل وهيبة في التراث العماني.\n-\tمكاسب عمان الاستراتيجية في البقاء علي المسمى الأصلي " رملة آل وهيبة" .

|f “Wahiba Sands” is a sandy desert area, mostly in the northern and southern parts of eastern governorates, while a part of it lies in the central governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. The area was named Wahibiya Sands as most of its inhabitants belonged to the famous nomad tribe of “Aal e Wahiba.” They are the first to settle there since ancient times, as has been indicated by heritage sources and geographical maps, and documented by international scientific studies that were conducted around the area, in addition to being mentioned in the study curricula and Omani history.\nThe researchers starterted having in this area as during the past few years, from 2000 onwards, there were changes in this cultural and traditional name of “Wahiba Sands” and the emergence of new names having no scientific or geographical justification for the region, as well as names that have nothing to do with the past or present of the region, such as “Eastern Sands”, “Sand Zone”, “Western Sands” or “Badia Sands”, because the multiplicity of these names certainly does not serve the general interests of the local community, but contributes to the loosing of its history and what it has known about it since ancient times.\nThis study aims to demonstrate the philosophical dimensions of the authenticity of the use of “Wahiba Sands” in Omani heritage and history. It includes the following:\n- Introduction with a definition of Sands Region and its borders.\n- Importance of “Wahiba Sands.”\n- Justifications for the study.\n- Beginning of Changes in Names\n- Philosophical Dimensions of the authenticity of the name “Wahiba Sands” in the Omani heritage.\n- Oman's strategic gains in staying on the original title “Wahiba Sands”.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
