|b A Study on the Overlapping of Literary Genres: the Novel and the Short Story As a literary phenomenon, the overlapping and interconnection of literary genres became familiar and widely spread in modern literary criticism. Thus, This research aims to identify this modern literary phenomenon in the novel The Crows, to snow the overlapping of the novel and the short story as two different and distinct literary genres As a modern novel, The Crow represents a model example of this literary phenomenon, as it contains narrative techniques in which both the novel and the short story share. The researcher will study the role that these techniques play in the development of the novelistic narrative techniques. In addition, this research will trace the narrative techniques employed in the novel and shares with the short story to examine the extent to which these techniques participate in achieving an experimental novelistic narrative. Recently, novelistic patterns show tendency to experimentation that novelistic text became a mosaic of texts from different literary genres. Analyzing the novel, the researcher found that the text include experimental narrative patterns, and a new philosophy in form, structure, and proposing which show the novel to be an open text that include the snort story as a genre within its limitations. Since the novel and the short story are considered among the most popular genres used in expressive arts recently, the research found that the novel found its need in the short story to build its artistic structure, forming a distinctive literary phenomena deserving serious research and study.

|a غدت ظاهرة تداخل الأجناس من الظواهر الأدبية التي سطعت في حقل النقد الأدبي الحديث، وبات النص الروائي نصاً مفتوحاً ومشرعاً لعديد الأجناس على تعددها واختلافها. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الوقوف على ظاهرة تداخل الأجناس في رواية الغربان، وهي ظاهرة تداخل الرواية مع القصة القصيرة، حيث مثلت هذه الرواية أنموذجاً لهذه الظاهرة، لما تحتويه من متواليات قصصية تتداخل في متن الرواية. وتقوم هذه الدراسة على تتبع المتواليات السردية الموظفة في الرواية، من خلال عناصرها وأركانها، ومدى تلاحم هذه القصص في تحقيق سردية روائية تجريبية، ففي هذه المرحلة - الألفية الجديدة - أخذت الأنماط الروائية تنحو إلى التجريب، وغدا النص الروائي عاماً فسيفساء من النصوص، ووجد الباحث في هذه الرواية نمطاً روائياً تجريبياً، وفلسفة جديدة في الطرح والتشكيل والبناء، إذ تعد نصاً مفتوحاً، ومتضمناً لجنس القصة القصيرة، لهذا وجدت الرواية حاجتها فيها لتشييد معمارها الفني، فاحتوتها في متنها، وصار لزاماً علينا الوقوف عند هذه الظاهرة في هذه الرواية، وتناولها بالدرس النقدي.
