يؤلف القرآن الكريم منظومة يعضد بعضها بعضا، ولا يخالفه، ويصدق عليه من دلالة السياقين: اللغوي، وغير اللغوي ما يصدق على غيره من الكلام، إلا أن تركيبه، يجعل له خصوصيات يختص بها من سواه. السياق غير اللغوي للقرآن الكريم يتضمن عدة من سياقات تتعلق بما يكتنف النص من خارجه، ومنها-سياق المناسبة، وهو غالبا ما يتمثل في سبب النزول؛ فأسباب النزول: "أمور وقعت في عصر الرسالة، واقتضت نزول الوحي بشأنها". وبعد تتبعي لتفسير الميزان وجدت أن المفسر يعضد تفسيره للآية بسياقها اللغوي برواية سبب النزول، وعندما يتعارضان يقدم دلالة السياق اللغوي على غير اللغوي (رواية سبب النزول)؛ لكنه أفاد من النقل الثابت لأسباب النزول فوائد منها: القول بمعنى معين، ونفي معنى آخر، يحتمله النص اللغوي. وتشخيص أمر مبهم في النص.
