المستخلص: عرف عن الإمام عبد الحميد بن باديس تواصله مع رجال العلم والإصلاح في نواحي القطر الجزائري المختلفة وفي العالمين العربي والإسلامي، وربط علاقات معهم منذ بدايات توجهه العلمي والإصلاحي، ومن المناطق التي تواصل مع علمائها مبكرا قبل تأسيس جمعية العلماء منطقة وادي سوف، حيث ربطته علاقة صداقة مع أحد أشهر علمائها ممثلاً في الشيخ الطاهر العبيدي، الذي تبادل معه القصائد والرسائل، وعلق على بعض مؤلفاته ومنظوماته وقرظها، بعدما جمعتهما مرحلة الطلب في جامع الزيتونة، مع ما كان بينهما من اختلاف، وهي العلاقة التي كشفت عن بعض الجوانب الخفية من حياة ابن باديس خاصة ما أثبته في رسالته للعبيدي سنة 1919.

II est connu que l’Imam Abdelhamid Ibn Badis a établi des contacts avec plusieurs savants et réformateurs, aussi bien dans les différentes villes d’Algérie que dans les multiples contrées du monde arabo-musulman. D’ailleurs, ceci était vrai dès les débuts de son parcours scientifique et son orientation réformiste. Faut-il rappeler qu’Oued Souf fut l’une des premières villes où Ibn Badis a noué des relations d’amitiés avec ses différents savants, au premier rang desquels le célèbre Cheikh Tahar Loubaidi, et cela avant même la création de l’association des Oulémas. Ils se sont fréquentés durant les années de leur formation à l’Université de Zaytouna, et malgré les divergences qu’ils ont eues, ils ont échangés des poèmes et des correspondances, et Ibn Badis a même fait l’éloge et commenté plusieurs publications de son ami. Cette relation entretenue entre les deux savants dévoile certains aspects méconnus de la vie d’Ibn Badis, notamment les éléments contenus dans la lettre envoyée par ce dernier à Tahar Loubaidi en 1919.

It was known that Imam Abd al-Hamid ibn Badis had communicated with men of knowledge and reform in the different areas of the Algerian country and the Arab and Islamic worlds. He established relations with them since the beginning of his educational and reform orientation. Among the areas that he communicated with their scholars early before the establishment of the Association of Scholars was Oued Souf. Here a friendly relationship linked him with one of its most famous scholars, Sheikh Al-Taher Al-Ubaidi, with whom he exchanged poems and letters, and commented on some of his books and poetries and praised them, after they were brought together by request in the Zaytuna Mosque, despite the differences between them. This relationship revealed some hidden aspects of Ibn Badis's life, especially what was proven in his letter to Al-Ubaidi in 1919.
