المستخلص: يتحدّث البحث عن مسألة مهمة من مسائل القضاء والقدر تتعلق بأفعال العباد، وهي مسألة التكليف بما لا يُطاق عند علماء الأشعرية التي انبثقت عن مسألة الكسب عندهم، ومسألة الكسب مسألة غامضة في الفكر الأشعري إلى حدّ أنها أصبحت مثار عجب فقيل فيها: "أخفى من كسب الأشعري". وقد قامت مسألة التكليف بما لا يُطاق على أسس ثلاثة هي: القدرة وخصائصها، والكسب ومفهومه، ومقارنة القدرة للفعل. كما تحدّث عن نشأة هذه المسألة وتسلسل المبادئ التي كانت تظهر بين حين وآخر إلى أن انتهت صياغتها الكلامية إلى الفكر الأشعري الذي اختلف علماؤه في تقييمها والوصول إلى إجماع فيها.

This research discusses one of the most important issues of destiny and fate related to people's deeds and actions. This is the issue of delegation of a duty beyond the powers of the mukallaf, (al-taklif bima la yutaq), in the Asharites' thought, from which the issue of acquisition (alkasb) has emerged. The issue of acquisition is considered as one of the most ambiguous issues in the Asharites' thought. This is to the extent that people used to say "more ambiguous than the kasb of al-Ash'ari". The issue of delegation of a duty beyond the powers of the mukallaf is based on three principles: capacity (al-qudrah) and its characteristics, acquisition (alkasb) and its concept, the combination of capacity and action. The research has discussed the beginning of the issue in question, and some of the principles that used to appear from time to time until the theological formula of this issue reached the Asharite thought whose scholars in turn differed about its evaluation and in reaching a consensus about it.
