يتناول البحث أمن الخليج العربي وكيفية تعرضه لمخاطر إقليمية تهدده وتؤثر على مصالحه في الجوانب السياسية والاقتصادية والأمنية والبيئية، متمثلة ببروز إيران قوة إقليمية جديدة في المنطقة، تمكنت من خلال التطورات السياسية التي حدثت في المنطقة فبالعقود السابقة من أن تعزز قوتها ودورها في سيطرتها وإطلاق أذرعها في دول الخليج العربي. إن التهديدات الخارجية لدول الخليج التي فرضتها الثورة الإسلامية الإيرانية عام 1979 امتازت بطروحات فكرة تصدير الثورة إلى كل الدول الإسلامية والعربية، وهذا يعني سيطرة النظام السياسي الإيراني وتفكيره وخططه السياسية على الدول التي تمضي فيها أفكار الثورة الإسلامية الإيرانية. أما المخاطر الأخرى التي تواجه الأمن الخليجي وتهدد أمنه القومي فإنها تتمثل في سعي إيران لامتلاك السلاح النووي الذي سيكون له تأثير على توازن القوى في منطقة الخليج على وجه الخصوص وقد يؤدي إلى سباق تسلح سيشكل عبئا اقتصاديا وأمنيا على دول الخليج العربي، وفضلا عن أن البرنامج النووي الإيراني بدأ يأخذ طابعا واهتماما دوليا يضع المنطقة في مرحلة حرجة تنذر بخطر الحرب في حال لم تنصاع إيران لقرارات الأمم المتحدة لإنهاء برنامجها النووي.
This paper deals with the Arabian Gulf security and how its exposure to regional threatening and affect the interests in the political, economic, security, environmental, represented by the emergence of Iran's new regional power aspects in the area, managed by the political developments that have occurred in the region in previous decades to enhance its strength and its role in the control and the launch of its arms in Arab Gulf States. The external threats to the Gulf states imposed by the outbreak of the Iran's Islamic revolution in 1979 was characterized by the ideas the idea of exporting the revolution to all Islamic and Arab countries, and that means control of the nature of Iran's political system and the political thinking and plans on countries where ideas move the Iranian Islamic revolution. The other risk facing the Gulf security and threaten national security, it is in Iran's pursuit of nuclear project, which will be the impact on the balance of power in the Gulf region in particular, and could lead to an arms race would be economic and security burden on the Arab Gulf states, as Iran's nuclear program began takes a character and attention internationally puts the region at a critical stage warn of the danger of war in the event that Iran does not comply with UN resolutions to end its nuclear program.
