هذه المقالة هي محاولة لإعادة النظر في طريقة دراسة موضوع اقتصاد سياسي، هو النمو الاقتصادي واللامساواة، أو المساواة، في توزيع الدخل أو الثروة. ففكرة اللامساواة / المساواة تبدو مقاربة غير ملائمة للتأكد من العلاقة الإيجابية بين التوزيع العادل والنمو طويل المدى، وهذا في ظل اقتصاد سوق مقابل ذلك، يتم هنا تقديم الإنصاف كمقاربة بديلة تؤدي إلى إعادة توزيع مقبولة اجتماعيا، وإلى نمو طويل المدى. فلماذا الإنصاف بدل اللامساواة / المساواة؟ من أجل الإجابة على ذلك السؤال، سيتم عرض مختصر لنوع النماذج التي تؤيد اللامساواة من أجل النمو، ثم بعد ذلك النماذج التي تبين الآثار الضارة للامساواة على النمو، وفي الأخير يتم عرض مختصر لأفكار فلسفية سياسية حول أنواع المساواة في الميدان الاقتصادي. بعد التحليل والمناقشة يتضح سبب عدم ملائمة اللامساواة، أو المساواة، وملائمة الإنصاف لمثل هذا الموضوع Le présent article vise à revoir la manière d'approcher un sujet d'étude d'économie politique, en l'occurrence la croissance économique et l'inégalité/égalité dans la distribution du revenu ou de la richesse. L'idée inégalité/égalité parait inadéquate et non appropriée pour vérifier la corrélation qui peut exister entre la distribution juste d'un coté et, de l'autre coté, la croissance de long terme dans une économie de marché. Pour se faire, cet article propose de présenter l'équité comme approche alternative pouvant conduire à une redistribution socialement acceptée, et une croissance de long terme. Ainsi, dans le cadre de cette approche, une question s'impose: Pourquoi l'équité au lieu de l'inégalité/égalité? Pour répondre à ce questionnement, on va traiter les points suivants: présentation des modèles prônant l'inégalité pour la croissance; présentation des modèles traitant des effets négatifs de l'inégalité pour la croissance; la discussion de quelques idées de philosophie politique portant sur différents types de l'idée d'égalité. Après analyse et discussion, on va procéder à la démonstration de l'inadéquation de l'idée inégalité/égalité et au contraire, l'adéquation de l'idée équité pour ce type d'étude. This article is an attempt to review the method of studying the subject of a political economy, namely economic growth and inequality, or equality, in relation to the distribution of income or wealth. The idea of inequality/equality seems to be an inappropriate approach for ascertaining the positive relationship between equitable distribution and long-term growth. This is in the context of a market economy which is contrary to that. Equity is presented here as an alternative approach leading to socially acceptable redistribution and long-term growth. So why equity instead of inequality/quality? To answer that question, a brief presentation will be made of the types of models which support inequality for the sake of growth. Followed by the models which make evident the adverse effects of inequality on growth, and finally by presenting a brief presentation of the political philosophical ideas concerning the types of economic equality in the economic domain. After analysis and discussion, the reason for the inappropriateness of inequality or equality and the appropriateness of equity for this type of subject, is made clear.
