المستخلص: Competition and Monopoly issue is Considered as one of the important issues regarding economic development, which requires market structure change. Market structure whether it is a competitive or monopolistic affects firms efficiency. Thereby, the aim of the study is to identify the market structure of the Manufacturing industry in the Egyptian Economy during several time periods and also evaluate how market structure affects technical efficiency. In addition to market structure, other factors have been studied that affect technical efficiency of Manufacturing industry Sector. These factors are ownership, management, capital density and the degree of openness. In this respect, the following hypothesis has been tested, "Market structure affects Technical Efficiency of the industry". The result of the study proves the above hypothesis, but the market structure is not the only factor that affects efficiency, as other factors have been indicated during the study. These factors must be taken into consideration while aiming to increase the level of efficiency of Manufacturing industry in the Egyptian Economy.
