Literature guided to the world of childhood is a significant topic to serve the society. Countries have paid a lot of attention to children's literature to make a progress and prosperity of such countries since a child is the basic unit for future development. Accordingly, the child's upbringing in an appropriate environment carries sound impressions that enable him to take an ethical road contributing to a civilized building of his character. In a word, the sound building of the child's character is the sound building of the whole country. This can be carried out by getting benefits from adults', prophets' and messengers' experiences; particularly, prophet Mohammed's (PBWH) and his household. One can find such manifestations of high ethics in the biography of al- Immam al-Hussein (PBWH) in that human values can be easily evidenced in his biography starting from his childhood up to what had happened to him. Such highly ethical values can be taken as examples for children to follow while they are being socialized. The present paper is concerned with answering the question that how children's literature (issued from local institutions) has benefited and invested such ethical values of al-Immam al-Hussein (PBWH) in the social upbringing of children? The study has been applied to two magazines specializing in children's literature: al Husseiny As-Sageer (Small Husseiny) and Ar Rayaheen (The Winds). The involvement of such ethics in the two mentioned magazines has been measured by: * Quantitative criterion: how much the topic of ethics is included in both magazines? * Qualitative criterion: whether influencing or imaginary by pictures * What is presented whether it is direct or imaginary?
