All discourses are built on various bases in the text such as verbal structures, intellectual and ideological signs and cognitive thoughts. In other words, discourse is made of different significance levels beyond the words and sentences of the morphological and syntactic level within the context of internal, external intellectual, cultural, historical and social. Discourse solely based on the certain relations is not going to express certain issue, but also gives cohesion to the issues that are associated with it. The discourse that is going to be studied in this paper is the Arguing discourse of Imam Hussein (AS) with Mu'awiya to reprimand him for killing Imam Ali (AS) Shiia. The concept of this discourse is not only limited to its lexical meaning but it goes beyond the formal structure based on ideological structure to imply a critical messages. So that among the discourses that are issued from the power and domination centers achieves a cognitive and effective status to reverse and respond them. The present paper aims to critically investigate the discourse of Imam Hussein (AS), by the use of descriptive- analytic method, within in the three critical analytic levels of Fairclough i.e. description, interpretation and explanation, to investigate the cognitive and influential context of its ideological structures. It can be seen that Imam Hussein (AS) by the use of textual strategies within socio-historical and cognitive context represents an effective verbal communication and sends a critical message that violates the dominant discourse of society and offers a new and effective for its specific and general audiences. He reveals the dominant discourse of the society and unveils the nature of Mu'awiya, his purposes and origins of deviance in the society. He also reverses the dominant discourse of Mu'awiya and by the use of social and historical evidences and qoranic ayah, out of the structure and framework of religion introduces Islamic ideology.
