من عناصر ديمومة السكان هو أمن الدولة فهو من أهم العناصر لهذه الديمومة لأنه يسهم في قدرة السكان على ممارسة أنشطتها المختلفة، وبعد التلوث أحد أبرز التحديات التي تواجه البيئة مما يعكس بظلاله على السكان وأن مجرد معيشة الإنسان حياة سليمة في جو حضاري في المجتمع مما يسبب درجات متفاوتة من التأثيرات على البيئة تتناسب ودرجة التقدم الحضاري والعمراني في ذلك المجتمع، ويمكن أن نلقي نظرة نتعرف من خلالها على الصورة الإجمالية للتلوث من حيث الأهمية والمسببات والآثار، ومع تزايد عدد السكان تتفاقم مشكلة تلوث البيئة وتتضخم مخاطرها وآثارها الاقتصادية، والبحث عن الحلول الجذرية لحماية البشرية من كوارث محققة، وأن الظروف التي ألمت بالعراق منذ أكثر من ثلاث عقود هو انعدام الأمن البيئي لسكان العراق (تدهور البيئة)، فما تركته الحروب والعقوبات قد انعكست سلبا على سكان العراق من خلال جوانب كثيرة، أن تحليل مختلف الآثار الناجمة عن مشكلات البيئة في العراق لم يكن واقعها أحسن من السنوات الماضية، وذلك لعدم وجود الاهتمام الكافي من قبل الحكومة العراقية بهذا الجانب مما أثر تأثيرا مباشرا على اقتصاد البلد، وعليه فإن الحلول الواجب اعتمادها لهذه المشاكل يجب أن تتصل حتما بالإصلاحات الاقتصادية للبلد. وتم تقسيم البحث إلى أربع محاور تناول المحور الأول، استطلاع حالة بيئة العراق، والمحور الثاني تم التعرف على أنواع التلوث البيئي في العراق. أما المحور الثالث تناول الآثار الاقتصادية للتلوث البيئي، وأخيرا المحور الرابع، فقد بين أهم الحلول والمعالجات للتلوث البيئي.
One of the most important elements of population sustainability is environmental security, because it refers to the ability of the Fulfillment population their various activities. Pollution is one of the most important challenges facing the environment reflecting its imbalance on the population, and that Just living a healthy life in a civilized atmosphere in the community causes varying degrees of effects on the environment commensurate with the degree of civilization and urban progress in that society .We can take a look at the overall picture of pollution in terms of importance and causes and effects as the population grows. The problem of environmental pollution is exacerbated, their risks and economic effects are magnified, and the search for radical solutions to protect humanity from disasters .The circumstances that have happened in Iraq for more than three decades, the lack of environmental security for the population of Iraq "environmental degradation" ,the legacy of wars and sanctions has had a negative impact on the Iraqi population through many aspects, analyzing the various effects of environmental problems and its reality has not been better than the past years due to the lack of sufficient attention by the Iraqi government on this side which had a direct impact on the economy of the country therefore, solutions must be adopted for these problems ,and must inevitably relate to economic reforms of the country. The research was divided into four parts the first part dealt with an environmental case survey .The second identified the types of environmental pollution. Finally, the fourth part highlighted the most important solutions and treatments for environmental.
