المستخلص: Time is an essential and distinctive element of the narrative texts in general. Time has been and still is a point where many issues and concerns are raised in different cognitive fields. There have been many studies and research on the novels and with respect to the construction of time, from the readings and predictions in the narrative event, but rarely we find successful choices for the novel that enjoyed modern language, so it was carrying new techniques trying to break the linear path of the novel as we see in the novel al-aqrab (scorpion) by Iranian writer Hussein Mortazayyan Abknar, - Abknar has been able to manipulate the element of time very much with different narrative methods of language leaping from the language of education for self language to fill his novel with a time density and a different narrative language to break the traditional fabric of the narrative. This study is in accordance with the descriptive-analytical method, aims to study the temporal structure in the novel al-aqrab (scorpion). The study began with the detail in the critics' perceptions for the topic of time structure and the techniques of its formation within the narrative text. We then talked about these technique and focused on the talk of technique of retrieval and the technique of anticipating as poles of relationship with the present in which the narrator is located and sheds light on the type of narration used by the author for each chapter without the other with text analysis to understand the novel further and decipher the text codes.

يعد الزمن عنصرا أساسيا ومميزا في النصوص الحكائية بشكل عام. فلقد كان الزمن ولا يزال نقطة تثار حولها الكثير من القضايا والإهتمامات، في مختلف المجالات المعرفية. وقد كثرت الدراسات والبحوث حول الروايات وفيما يخص بناء، الزمن من استرجاعات واستباقات في الحدث السردي، لكن قلما نجد اختيارات ناجحة للرواية التي تمتعت بلغة حديثة فكانت تحمل تقنيات جديدة تحاول أن تخرق، السير الخطي للرواية كما نراه في رواية العقرب للكاتب الإيراني حسين مرتضائيان آبكنار-فقد استطاع آبكنار أن يتلاعب كثيرا بعنصر الزمان مع طرق سردية مختلفة من لغة قافزا من لغة التعليم للغة الذاتية لتكتنز روايته بكثافة زمنية ولغة سردية مغايرة لخرق النسيج التقليدي للسرد.
هذه الدراسة وفقا للمنهج الوصفي-التحليلي، تهدف لدراسة البنية الزمنية في رواية العقرب. و قد ابتدأت الدراسة بتفصيل القول في تصورات النقاد لموضوعة الزمن و تقانات تشكيله داخل المتن الحكائي، ثم عرجنا بالحديث عن هذه التقانات وركزنا الحديث على تقنية الاسترجاع و تقنية الاستباق بوصفهما قطبي العلاقة مع الحاضر الذي يتموضع فيه الراوي. وتلسط الضوء حول نوع السرد الذي استخدمه الكاتب لكل فصل دون الآخر مع تحليل النصوص لفهم الرواية بشكل أكبر وفك شيفرات النص.
