المستخلص: This research aims to examine the ability of Egyptian Pharmaceutical products to access to the African markets and its market share in these markets. Specifically, the research will 4oeus on the conditions and characteristics of this commodity in terms of production, consumption, structure of domestic market and the foreign trade (exports & imports) with the world and Africa. We attempt to examine the changes in foreign trade of this commodity with Africa by using the statistical approach where some trade indicators were used such as trade intensity index and export matrix to estimate the comparative advantage for the Egyptian pharmaceutical products. This research is divided into four sections. Section one contains the production, consumption, structure of domestic market and the future of pharmaceutical industries in Egypt. Section two analyzes the develop-ment of Egyptian trade with the world. Section three assesses and examines the ability of pharmaceutical products to access into Africa markets through the period from (2000-2008). Section four presents the challenges and opportunities that face this commodity in the domestic and international markets, especially, after obligations of Egypt in "Trips". The results of the research revealed that the ability of pharmaceutical industries to access into Africa markets is limited, and Egypt's market share is about 0.4% through (2000-2008), for this reason, Egypt can increase its exports from this commodity to Africa, specially, after it held free trade agreements with some African countries such as "COMESA", and achieved some policies to reduce the obstacles. and barriers with Africa.
