The concept of dialog of civilizations emerged in the Arab media and intellectual arena because of the echo of the article "Clash of Civilizations" written by the American thinker Samuel Huntington. The Arab intellectuals made the civilized dialog a slogan for them, and they were keen on choosing it as a special way, in return for the tendency of exclusion and marginalization adopted by the theory of center and margin or parties that was preoccupied by many Western writers (Europe and America in particular). This leads us to the following question: What is the future of Arab-Western civilizational dialogue? Is it a conflict and a clash as Samuel Huntington predicted? Or is it coexistence and adaptation? And what is the way to build the bridges?
