المستخلص: Toxoplasmosis is a disease caused by coccidian parasite Toxoplasma gondii. The infection by T. gondiiis widespread through the world in many species of mammals including humans and birds. Congenital toxoplasmosis results when infection is transmitted transplacentally from the mother to the fetus when the mother acquires a primary infection during pregnancy, which may lead to abortion or prenatal death. There is no enough information about epidemiology of T. gondiiin Libya. Therefore we investigate the seropositivity rate for anti-Toxoplasma IgG in Women in the age of 18 - 35 years (childbearing age) in Al-orban area (rural area). Serum samples of 50 Women were examined for the presence of anti T. gondiiIgG antibodies by using enzyme linked - immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The results of the serological analysis revealed that 18 (36.00%) of women samples tested were positive by ELISA IgG. While 32 (64.00%) of women were negative by ELISA IgG. This results was statistically significant (p = 0.001). \
