Residence Time Distribution (RTD) | Continues Stirred Tank Reactor CSTR

المستخلص: |
Models are defined for various mixing conditions, in Continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) in-series. Differential equation are derived which take into account a perfect mixed volume of mixing, possible short-circuiting, residence time distribution (RTD) of the system and partial displacement or plug flow. The values of the different factors contained in the integrated equations can be determined experimentally by the particular response of a given system to a sudden change in the composition of the feed. A correlation of the perfectly mixed volume of mixing and the agitator (rpm) is presented. Tracer study using Rhodamine WT was carried out for Continuous stirred tank reactors when partially mixing occurs. |
