هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة أثر العنف الأسري على الأداء الأكاديمي للطلبة في المدارس الحكومية في الأردن من وجهة نظر مدرسيهم، وأيضا الى دراسة أثر الفئة العمرية والجنس والمستوى المعيشي للطلبة المعرضون للعنف الأسري على تحصيلهم. لتحقيق هدف الدراسة قامت الباحثة بتصميم استبانة تكونت من 25 فقرة وقامت بتوزيعها على المدرسين في المدارس الحكومية في العاصمة عمان. تكونت عينة الدراسة من 258 معلم يدرسون في مدارس عمان في العام االدراسي2012/ 2013 حيث تم توزيع أداة الدراسة عليهم. ولتحليل البيانات تم استخدام المتوسطات والانحرافات المعيارية، وأظهرت النتائج فروقا ذات دلالة إحصائية في أثر العنف الأسري على الأداء الاكاديمي للطلبة من وجهة نظر المدرسين تعزى للفئة العمرية للطفل ولصالح الأطفال في فئة أقل من 10 سنوات كما أظهرت فروقا أيضا ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى للجنس ولصالح الأناث. أظهرت النتائج أيضا فروقا تعزى للمستوى المعيشي ولصالح ذوي الدخل المنخفض. وفى ضوء النتائج قامت الباحثة بتقديم بعض التوصيات للباحثين مثل عقد ندوات توعية للأهل لتعريفهم بمخاطر العنف الأسري على الأطفال وأثره السلبي على أداءهم الأكاديمي، إجراء دراسات أخرى على عينة أوسع لتشمل مجتمعات أوسع والمدارس الخاصة أيضا، دراسة متغيرات أخرى وأثرها على أداء الطلبة الأكاديمي.
This study aimed at investigating the effect of domestic violence on the students' achievement in public schools in Jordan from their teachers' perspectives. It aimed also to know the effect of age, gender, and financial level of the abused students on their achievement. To achieve the aim of the study, the researcher designed a questionnaire which consisted of 25 items and she distributed it among teachers in public schools in Amman. The sample of the study consisted of 258 teachers who are teaching in public schools in Amman during the academic year 2012/2013, and the tool of the study was distributed among them. To analyze the results, means and standard deviations were used, results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the effect of domestic violence on students achievement from their teachers' perspectives due to the age of the children and in favor of those children who are less than ten years, it also showed statistically significant differences due to the gender in favor of females. Results also showed significant differences due to the financial level in favor of low income. In light of the results, the researcher suggested some recommendations for the researchers such as holding seminars for the parents to introduce them to the negative effect of domestic violence on students and on their achievements, and also conducting other studies on other samples and other populations in private schools also. The researcher also recommends that other variables should be studied to know its effect on students' achievement.
