المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعريف بالأدوار التربوية لمدير المؤسسة التعليمية وصلاحياته، كما رامت، أيضا، رصد بعض انعكاساتها على مردودية المؤسسة التعليمية. وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى أن دور المدير يبقي محدودا، رغم أن النصوص المنظمة تسند إليه مهمة الإشراف على تدبير العمل التربوي، ويقتصر دور المدير على ضمان المناخ الملائم للعملية التربوية وتوفير وسائل العمل، وفرض النظام والانضباط، بينما يبقي الدور الأهم في ممارسة العلمية التربوية ومراقبتها لكل من هيئة التدريس وهيئة التفتيش. وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة، فإن الباحثين يوصيان بضرورة دعم صلاحيات المدير في تدبير العملية التربوية من خلال إرساء استقلالية المؤسسة التعليمية في إطار إعادة تنظيم مكونات المنظومة التعليمية، وإحداث آليات وظيفية للتدبير التشاركي، تجعل دور المدير فاعلا أساسيا في ترسيخ الحكامة التربوية الجيدة.‪‪

The present study aims at defining the educational roles of school principals and their authority. It also aims at monitoring some of its effects on the performance of the educational institution. The study concluded that the role of the school principal remains limited, despite the fact that the organizational scripts entrust them with the supervision of the management of the educational process (la direction pédagogique). The role of the school principal is to ensure the appropriate environment for the educational process and the provision of means of work, and to impose order and discipline. While the most important role remains in practicing the educational process and controlling each of the teaching staff and the Inspection Panel. on the light of the results of the study, the researcher recommends the need to support the authority of the school principal in the management of the educational process, through the establishment of the independence of the institution, and the reorganization of the components of the educational system, and the creation of functional mechanisms in co-management, which make the school principal and essential actor in establishing good educational governance.
