المستخلص: This study aimed at identifying the role of the coach in the cohesion of the sports team regarding the perspective of the players of Jordanian professional basketball clubs, according to the variables of (club, years of playing, educational qualification). The study sample consisted of (68) professional players who represent the overall community of the study. They used the descriptive method and the measurement of the role of the coach in the cohesion of the sports team. The study results showed that the role of the coach in the cohesion of the sports team from the perspective of the players of Jordanian professional basketball clubs was very high regarding the technical field and high for the rest of the other fields, the results also showed that there were statistically significant differences in the role of coach in the cohesion of the sports team with regard to the variable of the club which were in favor of the clubs of Al-Wehdat and Kufryuba. There were also statistically significant differences with regard to the variable of years of playing which were in favor of those who have played (less than 5 years). There were also statistically significant differences with regard to the variable of educational qualification which were in favor of those who have a higher educational qualification (Bachelor and above), The researchers recommend that the clubs’ administrations should, frequently, hold more social meetings between the coach and the players because these meetings have a positive impact on social relationships and thereby increases their cohesion.

هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف إلى دور المدرب في تماسك الفريق الرياضي من وجهة نظر لاعبي الأندية الأردنية المحترفة لكرة السلة، وفقاً لمتغيرات (النادي، سنوات اللعب، المؤهل العلمي)، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (68) لاعباً محترفاً يمثلون المجتمع الكلي الدراسة، وتم استخدام المنهج الوصفي، ومقياس دور المدرب في تماسك الفريق الرياضي. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن دور المدرب في تماسك الفريق الرياضي من وجهة نظر لاعبي الأندية الأردنية المحترفة لكرة السلة جاء بدرجة مرتفعة جداً على المجال الفني وبدرجة مرتفعة على بقية المجالات، وأظهرت النتائج أيضاً وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في دور المدرب في تماسك الفريق الرياضي تبعاً لمتغير النادي ولصالح ناديي الوحدات وكفريوبا، وكذلك وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تبعاً لمتغير سنوات اللعب ولصالح من هم (أقل من 5 سنوات)، وأيضاً وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تبعاً لمتغير المؤهل العلمي ولصالح من يحملون المؤهل الأعلى (بكالوريوس فما فوق). يوصي الباحثان بالحرص على قيام إدارات الأندية بعمل لقاءات اجتماعية بين المدرب واللاعبين بشكل دوري؛ لما لها من تأثير إيجابي على علاقاتهم الاجتماعية، ومن ثم زيادة ترابطهم وتماسكهم.
