|a هدف البحث إلى التعرف على المشكلات التي تواجه آباء الأبناء المعوقين عقلياً "الرضع والصغار". وتكونت العينة من (62) من أولياء الأمور الذين تراوحت أعمارهم بين (52:21) سنة بمتوسط قدره (33,1) وانحراف معياري قدره (7,5) سنوات. وتم استخدام مقياس المشكلات التي تواجه آباء الأبناء ''الرضع والصغار" المعوقين عقليا (من إعداد الباحث). أسفرت نتائج البحث عن وجود فروق دالة إحصائياً عند مستوى دلالة (0.01) في اتجاه آباء الأبناء المعوقين عقليا (الرضع) في الدرجة الكلية وفي بعد المشكلات النفسية والاجتماعية والتعامل مع الأخصائيين. وفي اتجاه آباء الأبناء المعوقين عقليا (الصغار) في بعدي المشكلات المعرفية والتربوية عند مستوى دلالة (0,01). بينما كانت الفروق في النوع في اتجاه الأمهات في الدرجة الكلية وفي المشكلات النفسية والاجتماعية والتعامل مع الأخصائيين عند مستوى دلالة (0,01). ولم تظهر فروق دالة في المشكلات التربوية بين الآباء والأمهات.

|b This research aim is to study the challenges faced by parents of children with mental disabilities, "infants and young children." The sample consisted of (62) a father and a mother, and aged (21-52) year average (1.33) and a standard deviation (5.7) years. It was used measure of the challenges facing the parents of the children, "infants and young children" mentally handicapped (prepared by the researcher). Results resulted in the presence of statistically significant differences for differences in the direction of parents of mentally disabled children (infant) in the total score and in the after psychological and social challenges and to deal with specialists. At the direction of parents of mentally disabled children (young) in dimensions of cognitive and educational challenges at the level of significance (0.01). While the differences in kind in the direction of the mothers in the total score and in the psychological and social challenges and to deal with specialists at the level of significance (0.01). It did not show significant differences in the educational challenges between fathers and mothers.
