هذه الموجة من الانتفاضات والاحتجاجات التي شهدتها الكثير من الدول العربية، من المغرب العربي وحتى الشرق الأوسط بداية من عام ٢٠١٠ كانت لها تبعيات على جميع المجالات بما فيها المجال الأدبي والفني، فلقد وجد المسرح الشرقي المعاصر في التعبير عن هذا الحدث ليس فقط متنفساً لأحلامه المكبوتة ولحريته المقموعة لفترات طويلة وإنما أيضاً فرصة للتعريف عن نفسه أمام الغرب الذي لم يعد يولى اهتماماً في الآونة الأخيرة بالمسرح الشرقي. ولذا بدأ هؤلاء الكتاب والفنانون بشكل عام في إعادة النظر في المجتمع والتفكير في علاقة الفرد بمجتمعه الذي يعيش فيه. تهتم هذه الدراسة بتسليط الضوء على المسرح الشرقي المعاصر وذلك من خلال دراسة تحليلية ومقارنة بين مسرحيتي الخوف لحاتم حافظ والحجرات الصغيرة لوائل قدور. هاتان المسرحيتان اللتان تمت ترجمتهما ونشرهما في عام ٢٠١٣ قد عرضتا على خشبة المسرح في فترة حرجة من تاريخ الشعوب والمعروفة باسم "الربيع العربي" حيث حاول الناس، من خلال التعبير عن طموحاتهم وإحباطاتهم مرة أو عن انتصاراتهم وهزيمتهم مرة أخرى، التغلب على مشاعر سلبية بل وأمراض نفسية مثل الشعور بالخوف والظلم والتهميش ... الخ بهدف الوصول إلى حياة كريمة تليق بكل إنسان له الحق في "العيش والحرية والعدالة الاجتماعية."
This wave of uprisings and protests in many Arabic countries, from Morocco to the Middle East which started with the beginning of 2010 have dependencies on all fields including literary and artistic domain. The contemporary oriental theater found in expressing this event, not only an outlet for its forbidden dreams and its freedom suppressed for long periods, but also a chance to introduce himself to the West who is no longer attached to study contemporary oriental theater. That’s why these writers and artists in general started to reconsider and to think about the individual’s relationship to society in which they live. Finally, the study shed light on contemporary Oriental Theater, through a comparative analysis between The fear for Hatem Hafez and The small rooms for Wael Kaddour. Both plays, which have been translated and published in 2013, has offered to the stage a critical period in the history of people known as the "Arab Spring", where people tried, through the expression of their aspirations and frustrations, their victories and defeats, overcoming the negative feelings and psychiatric diseases such as the feeling of fear and oppression and marginalization … etc. in order to reach a dignified life worthy of every human being has the right to live in freedom and social justice.
