المستخلص: لبعض الصحف دور في محاولات إضعاف اللغة العربية من خلال، الدعوة للكتابة باللهجات العامية والأحرف اللاتينية، واتهام اللغة العربية بضيق الأفق؛ ثم محاولات تغريبها. وبدأت الدعوات الصريحة للكتابة باللهجات العامية 1881 م، ولبعض الصحف دور إيجابيا في الحفاظ على اللغة العربية: وإضافة العديد من المصطلحات إليها، والدعوة لإنشاء المجامع اللغوية. والدارس لتاريخ الصحافة من منتصف القرن التاسع عشر إلى يومنا هذا، يعجب من كثرة الصحف والمجلات التي صدرت ولازالت تصدر في الوطن العربي، وساعدت هذه الصحف على التكوين الثقافي واللغوي للمجتمعات العربية، والقارئ لهذه الصحف يلاحظ ازدواجية في لغة الكتابة، ونتيجة لذلك تدهورت أساليب الكتابة شعرا ونثرا، مما سبب استثقالا للغة العربية بين أهلها، وشجع المحتل على إبعاد السلمين عن لغتهم فعمد إلى التشجيع على استخدام العامية واللغات الأجنبية، حتى يضعف الرابطة اللغوية بين المسلمين.
والهدف: من الدراسة التأريخ لظاهرة لغوية انتشر في كثير من الصحف العربية 1881-1955م.
وتتبع الدراسة المنهج التاريخي والتحليلي. واستند البحث إلى دراسة العديد من الصحف والدوريات المصرية والعربية والمصادر والمراجع.


Some newspapers play a role in attempts to weaken the Arabic language by inviting for writing in colloquial dialects and Latin letters, accusing the Arabic language of the narrowness of its prospect, and then attempts to westernize it. Clear invitations for writing in colloquial dialects began in 1881. Some newspapers play a positive role in preserving the Arabic language: adding many terms to it, and advocating the establishment of language councils. The scholar of the history of journalism from the middle of the nineteenth century to the present day wonders about the many newspapers and magazines that have been published and are still publishing in the Arab world. These newspapers helped in the cultural and linguistic formation of Arab societies. The reader of these newspapers notes the duality of the language of writing and, as a result, the methods of writing have deteriorated in poetry and prose. This has caused a burdensome in the Arabic language among its people. It has encouraged the occupier to keep the Muslims away from their own language, and this has encouraged the use of colloquial and foreign languages, so as to weaken the linguistic link between Muslims. The aim is to study the history of a linguistic phenomenon that was spread in many Arab newspapers from 1881 to 1955. The study follows a historical and analytical approach. The research was based on the study of several Egyptian and Arab newspapers and periodicals, resources, and references.
