المستخلص: تمثل المنشآت الدفاعية بمدينة الجزائر خلال العهد العثماني حلقة هامة من تاريخ فن الحرب في العصر الحديث، خاصة وأن هذه الفترة هي فترة المواجهة المباشرة بين حضارتين حضارة شرقية وحضارة غربية، كان محور الالتقاء بينهما هو ساحل البحر الأبيض المتوسط، لذلك عززت من منشآتها الدفاعية. سنحاول من خلال هذا البحث المتواضع تسليط الضوء على أحد هذه المنشآت الدفاعية وهو حصن تامنتفوست الذي يعتبر من أهم الحصون البرانية لمدينة الجزائر.

Defense installations in Algeria during the ottoman era represent an important link to the history of the art of war in the modem era, which is the period of direct confrontation between oriental and western civilization.
