المستخلص: The contemporary residential buildings within the cities do not concern themselves with the system of the house gardens in their structural planning, but they take interest in a small number of public gardens which do not meet the needs of the inhabitants. They have become confined to the house gardens in villas and for the most part to the buildings on the outskirts of the cities. The study also deals with the house gardens existing in the residential outskirts, pointing out their form planning, arrangement and advantages in creating areas that realize the psychological comfort and satisfy the inhabitants aesthetically. Furthermore, the study brings out the general conditions for preparing and arranging the house gardens that achieve the healthy, aesthetic and psychological objectives for their owners. Finally, they bestow upon the buildings and the city a comfortable atmosphere and many climatic and social advantages.
