Among the Arabic Linguistic phenomenon is the phenomena of "AL-Mothallathat". These are the words in which the three vocalizations follow one another in front and middle position, and the impact of the change of this vocalization results in a change of meaning. This paper is a study and commentary on a book, regarding this significant linguistic phenomenon. It was written by the great Arabic linguistic scholar Al-Fairouzabadi, the author of "Al-Qamous Al-Moheet" in which he explained the triliteral-words which were collected by Qotrub, the famous Arabic linguist, and was later known as "Mothallath Qotrub". It was a valuable elucidation which he dictated to his students and furnished it with examples from the Holly Qur'an and Arabic poetry.
