This research presents a historical survey of the library of the Prophet's Holy Mosque from its establishment in the sixth century of the Hijrah to the present day. It also illustrates the stages through which it had passed and what it reached in the contemporary stage. The library became independent of the endowments and it was annexed to the Prophet's Holy Mosque on 27/5/1398 H. It witnessed a steady growth in the numbers of books, manuscripts and an expansion of the services extended to the visitors. Furthermore, the research is provided with pictures of the various sections of the library. |
