The Present Participle structure is one of the most known structures in the Arabic sentence, and this research deals with it from three different perspectives: - The Morphological Aspect stated its definition, derivations and morphological meanings. - The Semantic Aspect stated its significant descriptive meaning on the animate and its nominal meaning on the inanimate and its meaning on the machine. - The Constructional Aspect stated the subjective and objective relationships and the relationship with the genitive construction. The study shows the richness of this derivative item and its high flexibility to express many meanings in different contexts and the grammatical structures which affect its significance and uses. |
